This bright, centrally located seaside cottage is the perfect base for up to six people and two canine companions to explore Appledore and beyond. Appledore is home to a wealth of pubs, eateries and galleries, offering options to venture further afield and explore the endless walking trails of the South West coast.

The cottage is spread out over three floors, offering three spacious bedrooms to retreat to after a long day taking in your picturesque surroundings, alongside two bathrooms. The lounge offers a comfortable, light and airy  space, perfect for relaxed evenings in front of the wood burner. For those who enjoy cooking and hosting, the well-equipped open-plan kitchen/diner provides a delightful space to be enjoyed by the group. Through the kitchen, guests will be greeted with a south facing courtyard complete with outdoor shower tap - perfect for those mucky pups and salty children and a seating area and a BBQ for the warmer evenings.

The shoreline of Appledore, offering rock pools and sandy stretches, is just a leisurely walk from the cottage. For those looking to explore more of the coast, the pebble ridge beach of Westward Ho! is just 3 miles away, with the sandy beach of Instow sitting just 6 miles from the property. Travel just 14 miles to meander the coastal path of Clovelly, or explore a little further and cross the border to Cornwall by travelling 28 miles to Bude. The town of Bideford is 4.5 miles away, with the town of Barnstaple 11.5 miles from the quaint seaside town.

the house was very nice and we really enjoyed staying there. the first set of stairs were a bit steep and we had an old dog so we had to carry our dog up and down. views were fantastic from all the windows. its a short walk to the local pubs and about 20 mins into the town area. there isn't many food shops around so a trip to the local Morrison's oRead morer Lidl is on the cards to stock up the fridges for the week although we eat out quite a lot at the local pubs. food is very good in the pubs and not overly expensive. parking is first come first served but we only had 1 time when we couldn't park outside the house so no real issues. would gladly stay there again. its a lovely area and the locals are nice! A great location, well equipped and comfortable for a family break, Mira Mare Is a special place to stay, close to the slipway for a winter dip, good walks from the door, and such a friendly village.

Such a beautiful view to wake up to every morning, and just minutes away from great walks and lovely pubs. Had a great stay at Mia Mare, Few issues with the cleanliness, this was reported to the owner who has assured this will be dealt with. Did not affect our stay. Appledore is our favourite place, peaceful and relaxing. Mia Mare has superb views .

Another restful, comfortable stay at Miramare. The cottage has everything you'll need for a fab week in Appledore. We managed to park outside or close by during our stay. Ate at The Beaver, The George, The Yard and The Flame Factory - all very good. Morrisons nearby in Bideford for extra supplies if needed but we had a Tesco delivery for our arrivaRead morel. Some outstanding sunsets just outside the cottage - amazing. Got a couple of surf lessons in at Westward Ho! What more could you want? Hide

Lovely cottage in fabulous position. It has everything we need and more. Very clean and well-equipped, it is very comfortable on 3 floors (we only use 2), and is yards from the sea front, 5 minutes from the beach, and easy walk to hotel with great food, and local pub. Town centre is 10 minutes walk with shops and quay. Parking is 'on road', so can Read morebe hit & miss, but easy to unload at rear; car park (pay for week up front to council), and Saturday turnaround gives chance to park close to load. Hide

This is a great cottage, out fifth on Irsha St and our favourite so far for a winter stay. Well equipped, lovely design touches, practical and contemporary, comfy mattresses, the outside shower is a boon I'm sure in summer. We were able to swim off the slipway a quick dash away, and returned through the back door, also useful for the dog after she Read moreswam. Hide

Just got back from a few days in Feb. Was very relaxing. House was super clean and warm when we arrived. Very much appreciated the treats! House feels bigger than photos show and light and airy. We walked into Appledore which is a comfortable 10 mins (passing 2 good pubs). However, as it was Feb a lot of the shops were shut. We were expecting that Read morethough and got a shop delivered the day we arrived. The views are stunning and we enjoyed sitting by the fire reading a lot. We will return! Hide

We have just returned from a 4 night break in Appledore. Beautiful house a stones throw from the water and two pubs. We spent two lovely evenings in the Beaver Inn and enjoyed fish snd chips from the tiny shop in Appledore. We were a multi generational group celebrating my mums 89th birthday and she loved it. We had a fabulous time cottage was beautiful and in a wonderful place , everything you would need was there, sea views from your windows , walking distance to restaurants and pubs all allowing dogs in , you can explore the area very easily from there

Lovely house, great location with beautiful views. Only downside is the parking, we were lucky and got parked outside but would imagine it being a problem in the height of summer.

I can't recommend this property highly enough. It is cosy and well equipped, extremely well situated with the beach on 50 metres away and all the amenities of Appledore within easy walking distance. The only potential drawback is the lack of parking; we pre-purchased a 7 day parking permit so that we could use the nearby carpark but on many occasioRead morens were lucky in finding spaces on the street. The cottage was very comfortable and clean and had every amenity we could wish for ( except instructions for the cooker which we found tucked away on our last day!) The location and views are fabulous. We had a great holiday .

Lovely property in a great position. Close to Appledore centre and all the great pubs and eateries etc. We went in early July and there was little opportunity to park outside of the property. Not a problem for us as we simply bought a weeks parking in the nearby carpark for 30. If you want to park outside you will have to compete with day trippers,Read more locals and people staying the length of irsha street. The sunsets across the estuary are stunning. This is our second stay in Mira Mare. We love the house and location and it has everything we need. It really is our home from home. The sunsets we were able to view from the house were just fantastic and Appledore has a good selection of eateries to choose from. All in a perfect place to stay.
