Stay at this charming refurbished barn for a relaxed trip to Devon with your dog by your side. Take long walks through countryside, along clifftops or across pretty beaches by day, followed by leisurely dinners and quality family time in the evenings. The house sleeps up to six with one dog welcome too, so is ideal for families or groups of friends keen to include their pet in the holiday fun.

 

This two-storey house has plenty of space, with an open-plan kitchen/diner which is perfect for cooking, eating and drawing up a rough plan for tomorrow. In the spacious lounge, stretch out on the sofa to watch an episode of your favourite series on the Smart TV – the children can play a board game on the carpet while Lola dozes contentedly nearby. The enclosed garden has a seating area – on mild evenings, make up some dips and salads and take them outside for some fresh-air dining. From here, there’s a gate leading onto the village playground – great if you’ve got children in your party.

 

When it’s time to take your Welsh terrier, Alsatian or pug on a long workout, head to Great Torrington (5 miles) where you can join the popular Tarka Trail. This former railway line is now a cycling and walking path taking in wooded river valleys, dramatic coastline and rugged moorland that you can explore together. She’ll also go mutts for the sandy beaches at Westward Ho! (12 miles) where she can bury stones in the sand to her heart’s content. Or wander down the cobbled streets of Clovelly (13 miles) before tucking into a cream tea at one of the village’s dog-friendly cafes.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and a great base for days out in Devon and Cornwall.

Lovely week away as a family comfortable clean and had everything we needed for the week. Location wasn't what we expected but that's our own fault for not doing more research into the area and how far away it is from local amenities like supermarkets etc most activities and days out are mostly around an hour drive away and we found the nearest beaRead morech still 25 minutes away this just meant a little forward planning involved for days out etc. Will had a relaxing time away though would recommend. Such a lovely clean house with brilliant facilities and the children loved the park. The area was lovely with lots of great walks and very peaceful. Would definitely recommend this house to stay in for a relaxing holiday.

Amazing holiday home, great for the kids with the park and field access via back gate, would definitely stay again as in great location for getting to both North Cornwall and Devon. The only thing that could be improved is a lock on the bathroom door! As apparently Grandchildren need to be with their Grandparents at ALL time

Convenient for several childrens attractions and good play area right behind cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Board games in the lounge a nice surprise. Three bedrooms but one really only suitable for children in bunk beds

A nicely decorated and comfortable cottage. Very well equipped. The location is great for exploring the surrounding area with nice towns/villages to visit and activities for the grandchildren. The playground and football field next to the cottage was ideal for the grandkids and felt very safe. We would thoroughly recommend it.

A fantastic break in a great location! The cottage was clean and welcoming. It was easily one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed in! The cottage is located in a quiet little village that is well placed for exploring all that the area has to offer - Westward Ho beach and Woolacombe were our favourites! There are some lovely walks and Read moretrails nearby which are great for walking the dog, as well as a play park directly outside the property! A well needed relaxing break, thanks! Hide
