Despite the weather being glum we found the property provided excellent views to compensate. The cottage layout is comforable (quite steep stairs) and the locals are all extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend a stay.

We booked Churchfield Cottage last year during the Easter break for my daughters and their families to stay while we book another house in the village. As usual the house was very comfortable with a lovely open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room upstairs with several windows to take in the views, and 4 en-suite bedrooms. The weather forecast before weRead more arrived was supposed to be wet, but we were very lucky and had many sunny days. Hide

The location is perfect especially being on the relative flat for Appledore and close proximity to the amenities and main car park which was helpful for our party of 3 generations. Good proportions and great natural light to the upper floor. Maria the property manager is lovely and quick to respond to our minor queries.

We absolutely loved our stay in Churchfield cottage. The cottage itself was beautifully presented, well equipped, comfortable and with enough space for the 6 of us, plus our two dogs. The views over the estuary from the picture window were stunning, and being centrally located in Appledore, we didn't have to walk far to eat out, grab a drink, catchRead more the water taxi to Instow, or paddleboard on the estuary. Parking is street parking which was sometimes tricky but there is a car park opposite. Hide

This was a great holiday home, we were very pleased with our choice. The cottage is very well equipped and has plenty of crockery and cutlery. The location in the village is very good and Appledore has plenty of pubs and places to eat so you dont have to drive everywhere. There is a pub next door but there is no noise intrusion. The cottage has gooRead mored views, and en-suites for every bedroom is a great feature. Would definitely consider returning or recommending to friends and family. Hide

A beautiful cottage in a fabulous location. Great views across the estuary and only a short walk to all that Appledore has to offer. We were also exceptionally lucky with the weather.

Lovely house and ideal for my daughters and their families especially as there were four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Nice light open plan room upstairs with views across the estuary, however, being behind The Seagate Pub and Hotel did have its drawbacks for the grandchildren when they went to bed.
