A stunning country house in rural Shropshire invites man and dog alike to put feet (and paws) up in style and comfort. Despite its convenient location in Ludlow town centre, the property boasts masses of space both inside and out, ideal when holidaying with 12 guests and two dogs. At the back, a large garden is entirely enclosed with plenty of space for your dogs to run around, ideal for letting pets burn off some steam whilst you dine alfresco or take a dip in the hot tub. That is, of course, if your four-pawed pals have any energy left after long days of chasing tennis balls and pursuing wildlife in the sprawling Shropshire Hills AONB (1.5 miles).

Regal design features with an exceptional finish can be found in all three storeys of this impressive house. Enter via the boot room to leave coats and shoes behind and give Rover and Fido a good wipe down after their walk. You can then let your pups seek out the cosiest snooze spot in the house, perhaps in front of the open fire in the lovely lounge. This room is also equipped with soft seating and a Smart TV, allowing you to keep the dogs company on a relaxing evening. Leave sleeping dogs to lie right here as you head to bed, dragging dog-tired bodies to six king-size bedrooms set out over all three floors.

Set tails wagging with endless adventures in the surrounding countryside, discovering the vibrant landscapes of Shropshire close by. Local highlights include Mortimer Forest (3 miles), an easy woodland trail where your dogs can roam off-lead, and Brown Clee (10 miles), a circular walk that encompasses part of the Shropshire Way route. You can, of course, stay close to home and enjoy Ludlow itself, wandering the grounds of the castle (0.5 miles) before dropped into a dog-friendly pub.

We had a lovely time staying at the Town House this past week. It's in a great central location and very convenient for walking to all the local attractions without the need of a car. Some fabulous pubs, restaurants and other eateries all within a few minutes walk from the house, The Blue Boar was our favourite with a return visit and The Blood BayRead more was the perfect traditional pub if you prefer real ale. The home is spacious ,clean and well equipped with an amazing garden with beautiful spring bulbs in bloom. There are steep staircases to the upper floors so you need to be reasonably fit to get around. Parking at the property is by the hour and found using the MiPermit App very easy. We arrived in three cars and purchased 7 day parking permits for The Smithfield Car Park that was a 8 minute walk away, which we found convenient. Had a great week and would be happy to return Hide

This is a very special property and we found it warm and comfortable for 6 adults and four teenagers. It was good to have two lounges, one with snooker table. We all had our own space as well as coming together for meals in either the dining room or the kitchen. The house is perfectly situated for exploring and enjoying Ludlow. We came at February Read morehalf term with rather damp weather. If staying in fine weather, the garden will add greatly to the amenities this lovely house provides. Hide
