This modern stone-built cottage is situated in the pretty village of Crich, on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales, and is the ideal holiday destination for a family get-together accompanied by one or two four-legged companions. Explore charming Derbyshire towns and villages, sniff out adventure in the Peak District National Park and enjoy picturesque walks that begin from your doorstep, before returning to take a dip in your hot tub.

This is a welcoming and comfortable home with plenty of space to relax and unwind. Entering via a hallway with room for coats and boots, the open-plan living area combines contemporary finishes with rustic charm, featuring stone flooring and a chunky wooden-topped dining table. The lounge area's plush corner sofa is the perfect place to flop after a day of discovery, and with five inviting bedrooms to choose from, one with its own en-suite, a good night's sleep is sure to follow. Keep an eye on your furry friends from the comfort of the private hot tub as they explore the fully enclosed garden and dine alfresco using the shaded picnic bench with your prized pups by your side.

Crich is a delightful village, typical of the Derbyshire Dales, so much so that it was the setting for the fictional village of Cardale, as featured in the popular TV series Peak Practice. Crich is home to the National Tramway Museum, where over 60 trams built between 1873 and 1982 travel within a recreated period village containing a working pub, cafe, old-style sweetshop and tram depots. Dogs are welcome to join you and ride the trams in this charming historical time capsule. With expansive formal gardens and over 1,000 acres of parkland to explore, Chatsworth House (15 miles) is the perfect place to enjoy a walk with your hounds, then visit the lovely town of Bakewell and sample the famed Bakewell pudding. For a journey with a difference, take a cable car with your faithful friends up to The Heights of Abraham (6 miles) and enjoy a beautiful walk around this 60-acre hilltop estate. Alternatively, the wilds of the Peak District National Park begin 6 miles from your door, where visitors of the canine kind are welcome to join you roaming the rugged highlands and pretty wooded valleys.

The property is looking a little tired in places, like the dining chairs that are peeling and the peeling paint on the back door. There was shower gel in one of the showers only and not much toilet paper provided. Also, only one dishwasher tablet and no laundry soap, we usually find this is supplied? The mattresses were very soft and uncomfortable.Read more It needs a new front door mat. Very nice location and lovely to have a hot tub. Nice bakery in the village Hide

Overall good location for walking / village. Off road parking available. House snug and warm. Well equipped kitchen. Beds / bedding fine. Garden has 3 steps up (to hot tub) and this was a bit slippy when we went. However, overall impression was needs some tlc - particularly furniture in downstairs space. Not the cleanest house we have hired.

Great location and very clean. Kitchen well equipped, although we were unable to use the oven as it was filthy and couldn't be cleaned during our visit. If you have energetic dogs the garden is quite small and there are 3 steep steps to access it. Beds very uncomfortable, could feel springs. Well stocked local shop, excellent Indian takeaway and fiRead moresh and chip shop. Hide

We had an amazing stay, the accomodation was homely, comfortable, clean and so well equipped. Possibly our favourite holiday house we have rented so far. Had a couple of queries and both times the owner responded quickly and resolved our issues immediately. The village is also beautiful!

A lovely property. We had four generations staying, eight adults, a baby and two dogs. Plenty of room, managed to fit everyone in comfortably for sleeping and eating. A perfect base for visiting local areas. The owners provided little extras, including wine, milk and biscuits plus more, it was a lovely touch. Would recommend and we would visit agaiRead moren. We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It is quite small downstairs so if you are a large group then it might be tight but as 5 ladies catching up over a weekend we had a bedroom each and enough space downstairs which was ideal! We couldnt get the hot tub to heat up properly but there is a note that says they change the water on each change over so IRead more am not sure if we were just unlucky as we were only there 2 nights and it was a bit col or if there was an issue. We enjoyed the cottage overall! Hide

Good size for extended family, though a little cramped for eight adults. Nice enclosed garden with fire pit and bbq. Loved the hot tub. Overall a lovely house in a great location. My children loved having the playground just across the road and Crich is a lovely village.
