Get the whole gang together at this elegant country house in the heart of Leyburn – the Gateway to the Dales. Sleeping 12 people over six bedrooms and welcoming two faithful friends, it’s ideal for large groups who want to escape in style to discover the Yorkshire Dales with their canine companions in tow. Wake up and take your pups on a stroll to Wensley Waterfall, before you set off to Leyton Station to take them on a nostalgic journey to Scruton on the heritage Wensleydale Railway. In the evening, come home to relax by the wood burner while your pups snooze happily at your feet.
Pull into your private parking spot (there’s room for four cars) and step inside this former vicarage, which is crafted from Yorkshire stone. Head to the sleek and stylish kitchen to cook up a storm and host a sophisticated dinner party in the large dining room, which has a table for 12 and a wood burner. Afterwards, make a beeline for the games’ room to play pool by the open fire, or head to the lounge to relax by the wood burner. You’ll find one super-king-size bedroom on the ground-floor (can be made into a twin on request), as well as five bedrooms upstairs - one super-king-size (can be made into a twin on request), three king-size and one twin. One shower room and five en-suite bathrooms (one with a bath and shower, and four with showers) complete the layout. In the morning, head into the courtyard garden to enjoy a freshly-brewed coffee while your pups play in the enclosed space.
Head off for walkies at Harmby Waterfall (1 mile) and let your pups enjoy a paddle. Or set off to Hawes (16 miles), the home of Wensleydale cheese - from there you can take your pups for a stroll along the Pennine Way.
