Embark on an unforgettable staycation in stunning Derbyshire, choosing the Georgian market town of Melbourne as your comfortable base for exploring. Handily located on the cusp of the National Forest, this impressive property is a rural haven for families seeking solace in the countryside. Spacious and stylish, your holiday accommodation sleeps six humans and an accompanying hound in utter comfort, boasting a fabulous garden large enough for hours of ball fetching and rabbit sniffing.

Step inside the lobby to discover a contemporary delight, characterised by chic furniture, bright decor and ambient lighting. An open-plan living space forms the hub of the home, perfect for gathering the pack for slap-up meals followed by lazy evenings curled up in the lounge. The resident chef can cook up a storm in the kitchen area, no doubt closely guarded by Fido as he waits for a tasty sample. A games facility in the garage will be the envy of any competitive soul, featuring a table tennis table and cosy sofa. At bedtime, choose from a majestic upstairs bedroom and two gorgeous ground floor bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms. There is a large garden to the front and back with a beautiful pond and ha-ha (steep drop), the rear garden is fenced off so adventurous canines and toddlers can play safely whilst you enjoy balmy summer BBQ’s. This includes providing Bio D washing detergent and conditioner for guests to use, as well as Neat hand wash and dishwasher tablets. The shower heads are fitted with water saving valves, and they have a strong focus on recycling and have a compost area for food waste.

Explore near and far, scurrying along the paths of the National Forest 10 miles away, or clipping-on Rex’s lead for a stroll along the banks of the River Trent 2 miles away. Melbourne itself is dotted with charming bistros, galleries, and independent shops, and an attractive parish church described as a ‘cathedral in miniature.’ Local delicacies include iconic dishes such as Bakewell Pudding and Fidgety Pie, so be sure to try a variety of restaurants to get your foodie fix.
