Treat yourselves to a romantic getaway with your four-pawed third wheel by your side and escape to the charming market town of Cleobury Mortimer. This beautiful, three-storey townhouse is filled with splashes of vibrant colour, character and original features. Wooden floors and exposed beams bring the space to life and your pup will love cosying up at your feet after adventurous days out and about.

Beneath its striking exterior, this Grade II-listed townhouse exudes rustic charm with a contemporary edge. Pops of red liven up the otherwise neutral, classic interior and the exposed beams, sloping ceilings and gorgeous wooden floors add character. Find space for bikes, boots and balls in the hallway before brushing off dirty paws in the utility room and heading upstairs to the kitchen and lounge/diner. Rustle up treats in the quirky kitchen and settle on the vibrant sofa for a peaceful night. Ascend to the top floor for a good night’s sleep in the tranquil, super-king-size bedroom with wooden furniture and sloping ceilings. Start your day with a soak in the tub before pouring yourself a morning cuppa to sip at the kitchen table.

Head out for morning walkies and explore the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (22 miles to the centre), chase sticks in the Wyre Forest (5 miles) or climb Brown Clee Hill (13 miles). Reward the day’s efforts with treats from the local bakery in Cleobury Mortimer or stop for a cold drink in a pub and pick up fresh ingredients for dinner. Ludlow is 11.5 miles from your door and you can enjoy a walk on the long-distance footpath to this charming historic town or tread the Mortimer Trail for a stretch of the legs and a tail wag.

This is the second year we have spent Christmas in this charming property. Cleobury and the surrounding area is lovely, the shops quaint and the people friendly and welcoming. This was very disappointing. The place didnt smell at all fresh. Once we had emptied the vacuum cleaner and opened the windows we managed to get things sort of up to standard. But then we couldnt do much about the broken loo seat and the non functioning microwave and the towel rail which didnt work and the broken plug in the bathroom. This is a cosy and well located property and everything needed for survival is here on the doorstep. Much beautiful countryside within reach and there are walks from the village itself. Larger centres of Kidderminster, Bridgnorth and Ludlow not far away. Excellent cheese, butchers and ales to be had. Great holiday spot.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is well situated for shops, pubs and restaurants and exploring the local area. The owners provide literature on walks and surrounding area. The locals were so friendly and welcoming, we didn't want to leave. The bed was huge and furniture was in good order and very comfortRead moreable. The first set of stairs are steep, so you need to take it slow, especially with luggage/bags etc. We would return in a heartbeat. Hide

This is a place for the younger end or those that can climb steep stairs. Good entrance for people with bikes or pets. Comfortable bed and settee. Lots of places to eat if you like a drink and pub grub. Recommend the Kings arms for their steak ale and mushroom pie served from friendly people. No frills.

A very comfortable cottage in a great location for exploring both Shropshire and Worcestershire. It was an exceptionally hot week but the cottage stayed reasonably cool and the large fan supplied in the bedroom was a real bonus. The bed was large and comfortable.
