Escape to this beautiful terraced cottage in the pretty village of Bishopstone. Sleeping three people across two lovely bedrooms and welcoming one canine companion, it’s the ideal option for small families or groups of friends in search of a stylish base to call home while they explore the historic county of Wiltshire. During the day, take your pup for walkies among the standing stones of Avebury Stone Circle – an impressive Neolithic henge monument. In the evening, come home and enjoy a glass of wine on the south-facing deck while your pup runs free in the enclosed garden.

Step inside and head to the inviting lounge to relax by the beautiful south-facing bay window. When it’s time to eat, make a beeline for the bright and spacious open-plan kitchen/diner to whip up some dinner. Dine at the sociable dining table, or head out the patio doors to dine alfresco on the deck. A few steps down from the patio lead to the pretty, tiered garden. After dinner, unwind by the glowing wood burner in the lounge while your pup snoozes at your feet. At the end of the day, head upstairs and you’ll find one spacious king-size bedroom and one single bedroom with south-facing windows and lovely views (there’s also an additional sofa bed available on request in the lounge). Next door, you’ll find a stylish family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. In the morning, cross the lawn and you’ll find a gate with a few steps down to the village footpath. From there, you and your pup can enjoy walks in the countryside.

Explore the extensive grounds of Lydiard Park (13.5 miles) with your pup. Discover the Palladian mansion and the restored Georgian walled garden. Further afield, the Cotswolds (27.5 miles) is known for its charming villages and rolling hills.

The Brigadoon Cottage was just right for us. Everything was in the right place. It was nice and warm, too, with a good indoor climate. The living room and bedrooms were comfortable (and the bathroom had good ventilation!) Great location in small village, with walks from the door and nearby. Also good to visit Cotswolds villages. Cottage is well equipped, especially nice kitchen / diner. It's a period property so be aware of that as it has steep stairs etc. Parking by front door was handy as was farm shop across the road. Highly recommend.

We had a very lovely stay at Brigadoon Cottage. The property is well equipped and well suited for families. We'd like to point out especially the cleanliness of the cottage. Everything was shipshape and Bristol fashion:) We would definitely recommend it to friends and family and consider it for another holiday in Wiltshire.
