We had a wonderful stay at Carrstone cottage in Grimston, Norfolk. Alison, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the modern kitchen overlooking the lovely garden, and the beds were lovely and coRead moremfortable with crisp white bedding. The peaceful village location was ideal for exploring Norfolks stunning coastline and countryside, while also providing the perfect place to relax and unwind. The thoughtful welcome gifts of fresh eggs and a bottle of wine were a lovely touch and much appreciated. Alison was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and wouldnt hesitate to return. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing Norfolk getaway. Thank you, Alison, for a fantastic stay! Michelle & Family Hide

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. Alison was very welcoming and explained everything to us when we arrived. She also posted my charged back to me when I realised I had left it at the cottage, which was very nice of her. We took our 2 large dogs who loved the garden, which is totally enclosed, as this is something that we looked for. The stRead moreairs are interesting but once you get used to them they are fine. The location is great for lots of walks straight from the door or for those looking to stretch their legs on the beaches. I say beaches as there were so many to choose from. I would certainly recommend Wells next the Sea, if you park in the village car park, its cheaper, and then walk to the beach. It is a beautiful beach with just miles and miles of sand which our girls loved. I would also recommend Holkham Estate with wonderful walks and the house (there is a herd of deer there so hang onto to the dogs if they are anything like ours!! ) and the beach, is again mile and miles of sand for a delightful and unhurried walk and then back through the woods to the car park. We had a wonderful time, and we were lucky with the weather, but would certainly recommend the cottage and that part of Norfolk. Hide

My friend and I, along with my little dog, enjoyed a wonderful break in this lovely cottage..Superb kitchen with bifold doors leading to the private enclosed garden. Cottage is very comfortable and well equpped. The stairs are steep and narrow but not a problem for us. Great location and ideal base for exploring the area. Highly recommend.

A gorgeous cottage with a lovely enclosed garden for our 2 dogs. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and the owner thoughtfully provided wine, milk and dog treats on arrival. We had a fantastic week at Carrstone Cottage, exploring the villages and coast. Our best staycation to date, we look forward to returning.

We loved everything about our stay at Carrstone cottage. Booking was simple, with plenty of information provided in the lead up to our start date. Communication with the owners was quick and easy. Hand over gave us opportunity to meet with the owner who was friendly and welcoming and provided us with plenty of information about the cottage (it'Read mores equipment) and the area (eating options, days out etc). There were a number of little touches included to welcome both us and our dog. The property was beautiful, mashing the old and traditional, with modern practicality. Really clean and nicely finished. The garden was perfect to enjoy an evening meal and drink. The village has a shop and pub, the pub serves excellent meals with fab staff. The property is in a great location, 10 minutes from Sandringham, 30 minutes from Hunstanton beach and Oxburgh Estate, and within an hour of half a dozen more wonderful days out (Wells Next The Sea, Blakeney Nature reserve, Brancaster etc) If we visit Norfolk again we would definitely look to return to Carrstone Cottage. Fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage. Every comfort you could need is catered for. The new extension blends the old & new with style. The garden is very pretty & much enjoyed by us and our Dachshund Bert. The beds were super comfortable and we all slept well in the peaceful location. Grimston is a lovely little village with walks from the cottaRead morege door and a great local Pub serving tasty food. Many places to visit most within a thirty minute drive some of our favourites being Holt, Wells next the Sea,and Sunny Hunny ! We also used the local bus into Kings Lynn for a day off driving which was quite amusing with a dog who didn't like anyone getting off the bus ! We were spoilt for choice when eating out as North Norfolk is well served with some fantastic Pubs & Tea rooms . We heartily recommend Byfords in Holt & Bang in Wells for lunch. Also enjoyed a fish & chip supper on our last night from the Van that visits the village, very tasty and excellent value for money. Many thanks again to Alison & Gary and we hope to come back soon.
