Take a holiday with your partner and pet to this romantic log cabin deep in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Wake up to stunning views enjoyed over long, leisurely breakfasts in the enclosed porch or on the patio on warmer days. Venturing out, spend your days exploring pretty villages and taking long doggie-pleasing walks through Cranborne Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This cosy property has space for two people and one doggie companion, so is ideal for when you want to spend some quality time together in a tranquil setting.

This lovely wooden lodge is located on the owner’s 30-acre smallholding and has fields surrounding it. The inside has a distinctly rustic feel, with vintage-style furniture, lamps and artwork as well as attractive ceiling beams. The cosy lounge is a lovely spot for relaxing, with sofas, a TV/DVD and plenty of floor space for the dog to lie on. Outside there’s a large traditional veranda with furniture and an enclosed garden for your pet to run around in.

This property is in Shaftesbury, an attractive historic town with a quaint atmosphere. It’s famous for Gold Hill (0.5 miles), a cobbled street used to advertise Hovis bread on TV. You’ll find shops and a doggie-friendly pub within 0.5 miles. Shaftesbury Abbey (0.5 miles) welcomes dogs on leads; this museum and gardens are great for learning more about the areas’s history. For doggie-pleasing walkies you don’t have to go far – the town is right on the edge of Cranborne Chase - a varied landscape taking in ancient woodlands, chalk river valleys and pretty hillsides that your pet will adore. The New Forest National Park (24.5 miles) is another excellent ball-throwing spot.

Has lovely views, places to walk the dog. The cottage is clean, warm and well equipped for two people. Enjoyed watching the sunset from the small but comfortable conservatory. Lots of outside room for dog to run around. Would definitely stay there again.
