Sitting just 10 miles from the edge of the magical Peak District, this traditional stone cottage, sleeping four humans and two dogs is brimming with creature comforts and fabulous features for both two and four-legged guests to enjoy together. Grab your shoes, pop on a lead (for your dog, not you) and head outside to explore before returning home for a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for you, not the dog) or a snuggle and a tummy tickle (you or the dog) by the roaring wood burner.

Climb exterior steps to reach the ground floor which is home to a charming open-plan lounge/diner. Sink into comfortable sofas, put your feet up and lose yourself in a book or a film as furry guests sprawl out and lap up the heat from the wood burner. When noses begin to sniff the air, head into the smart kitchen to rustle up something tasty for all; two-legged guests can enjoy a sit down meal at the dining table or when the sun shines take your plate outside for a spot of al fresco eating. If canine companions follow you outside, the utility room is a convenient place in which to towel off soggy paws. Climb stairs to the first and second floors to find two double bedrooms. A bathroom on each floor, one with fantastic roll-top bath, makes freshening up light work.

For outdoor adventures, travel into the heart of the Peak District National Park to Kinder Scout, 35 miles from home: the highest in the East Midlands at 636 metres above sea level. Enjoy a hike and a stick chase before refuelling at a local pub nearby. 2 miles from home, the Crich Tramway Village is a good place to visit before heading into the village for a stroll.

Nice cottage, well equipped kitchen. Underfloor heating in lounge was lovely! The hot tub was fantastic. Washing machine good - could have done with a tumble dryer or line to hang washing on! Bed in first bedroom uncomfortably and creaky. Stair rails loose! Stairs very noisy to walk up & down which disturbed anyone asleep. We didnt find the sofa/Read morearmchairs comfy after a while as no support & saggy. The TV played up constantly which was frustrating. No view out to the back fields as weeds & grass waist high! There was no wood to start the log burner as promised. Didnt bother to complain as the week was warming up. There was no welcome pack on arrival so lucky we bought milk with us. The front yard was too small to turn my husband estate car round in so he had to back out into a busy road each time! Having said this the hot tub is fantastic and the location is good for travelling round. We enjoyed our week despite the discomforts but sadly would not go back there Hide

We had a very good stay, the cottage is in a good location and well appointed. Hot tub was great but you do have to walk out of the front door in your robe to access it at the side of the entrance where a fence gives you some privacy.

The cottage details do not clearly state there is no rear garden but photos 21 & 22 on the website, especially the latter photo suggests a walled garden with greenery and the right up says garden/patio!! Its neither!! Theres a drive way and a very small paved area to the front with a lethal narrow set of stone steps!!
