Had a fantastic week in this property thanks to the great weather. The location is ideal for circular walks either on the fells or in the valleys from the property. Great location for Chatsworth House too. So nice to park up (off street parking) and leave the car for a week! There is also nice pub just 200m away - good beer and food. This is a lovely cottage in a prime spot for hiking. If you are hiking, note that it is up a steep hill, but if you are going to the peaks, you should expect that! Thoroughly recommend.

My family booked both cottages (Upper Barn and Lower Barn) and had a great time. The surroundings are beautiful and perfect for dog walks - not far from places like Bakewell and Chatsworth House. We had everything we needed in our cosy cottage and was the perfect retreat after a day out.

Lovely cottage, great location. It would have been even better if the small courtyard was secure to enable the dog to go outside without a lead but that is only an observation we really enjoyed our stay

Excellent cottage with everything we required for our short stay whilst visiting Chatsworth and Bakewell. Just one thing that we had a problem with, the sloping ceiling upstairs, be careful of banging your head. LOL.

What a great place Booked late and this was in a great location at a good price Lower barn has all the facilities you could need and is very clean and tidy. I felt the pictures on the site made it feel remote but nothing could be further from the truth. Having said that it's a quiet location. I'd thoroughly recommend lower barn

We have just spent a lovely few days at upper barn cottage at Curbar. What a beautiful little dog friendly cottage.
