This is an attractive family-friendly cottage in the Shropshire hills. Sleeping up to six people and two dogs, it’s great for large and small families alike. There are almost endless country walks right from the front door and the owners’ fields are right next to the property, so you’ll have no need to drive anywhere to wear out those paws in the morning. For longer walks and days out, the nearby Clee Hills has lots of fabulous walking trails with views to match.

Inside, the property is beautifully looked after and super-stylish, with lots of characterful original features including exposed beams. There is a spacious lounge with a wood burner where you can warm up after a day out stick-chasing, and a separate snug, which can also be used as a bedroom for both four and two-legged family members. The open-plan kitchen/diner has plenty of space to cook and eat, with a family dining table at its heart. Both the bedrooms have plenty of space and en-suite bathrooms with rainfall showers. Outside, you’ll find a sheltered courtyard with patio furniture where you can enjoy a sundowner while the dogs play or snooze at your feet.

The property is on the doorstep of the Shropshire Hills, around 8 miles away, and crossed with walking trails. The local highlight is that the bustling market town of Ludlow is just 3 miles away and is a great place for a wander, with lots of pubs where you can reward yourself with a drink and a meal after a long dog walk. It’s famous for its medieval ruined castle, once the home of Welsh kings. Dogs are welcome at the castle, and staff even leave bowls of water for them.

  • Three bedrooms: 1 king-size and 1 twin (can be made up as a super-king-size on request when booking) and one snug room with a double bed (downstairs).
  • Additional sofa bed available in the lounge, sleeping up to 2 extra guests
  • 2 ensuites in the upstairs bedrooms, 1 with a shower over bath and WC and 1 with rainfall shower and WC.
  • Ground floor cloakroom with WC
  • Smart TV, Netflix and DVD

A tastefully presented cottage with good quality, comfortable furniture and a very well equipped kitchen. Everything is provided including pantry basics, which were much appreciated. We were a family group of three generations and dogs. All had a lovely time and were sad to leave. Excellent hosts.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet location. Very well equipped throughout with some nice touches such as an outside tap to clean the dogs and a gate to keep the dogs off the sofas at night. The owners seem to have thought of everything you might need and the welcome pack was lovely.. Couldn't fault the cottage but shame about the weather.
