Walk and talk as you and your canine companions tackle a stretch of the Cleveland Way or follow in the steps of Wainwright on his famous coast to coast walk. Alternatively, opt for the coastal scenery of Saltburn-by-the-Sea (25 miles) or the market town of Helmsley (11 miles) where the landscape flattens out over the Vale of Pickering. Dogs are welcome at Helmsley Castle and at the many dog-friendly inns. The Cistercian Rievaulx Abbey (10 miles) and the grounds of Castle Howard (24 miles) also welcome canine companions.
