Step inside the cottage and you’ll find a spacious, bright lounge with a stylish exposed-stone wall and a wood burner. Head to the contemporary kitchen/diner and rustle up some dinner for your loved ones. Get everyone together to eat at the table, or head out into the courtyard and dine alfresco. The courtyard is enclosed so your pup can run free while you eat. After dinner, take the stone staircase that leads to the garden gate to take your pup out for a walk, or head back to the lounge to play a board game while your pup sleeps at your feet. When it's time for bed, head upstairs and pick from the two tastefully-furnished bedrooms.
Pack up a picnic and head to Alnmouth’s sandy beach (4.5 miles) where dogs are welcome all year round. Alternatively, go hiking at Simonside Hills (16.5 miles). With a superb choice of well-marked walking routes, you and your pup will have no problem finding beautiful moorland or woodland to explore. Afterwards head into the pretty market town of Rothbury (11.5 miles from the cottage) to find a nice dog-friendly pub or cafe for a bite to eat.
