Accompany Rover on long rambles through the rolling Yorkshire countryside from this stone cottage at Little Crakehall. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom retreat, which is 2.5 miles from Bedale, nestles right on the banks of pretty Crakehall Beck, where you and your contented canine can take in the scenery during your downtime. Inside, there is a wood burner for warming cold feet and paws during the autumn and winter months.
Open the front door to the cottage and call Rover through to join you in the lounge/diner on the lower ground floor. Take in the leafy views as you sit back on the sofa. Throw open the French doors so Rover can step out to sniff the fresh air and watch the birds in the trees. There is a Smart TV, where you can hunker down in front of good movies, and a dining table for your Yorkshire feasts. Light the wood burner in here so it throws a cosy glow out across the room. Your modern kitchen, where you can feed Rover and conjure up tasty dishes for yourselves, is close by. Give Rover a final cuddle of the day, then head upstairs to your three lovely bedrooms. These all have either an en-suite bathroom or shower room. One is a king-size and two are super-king-sizes, with zip-and-link beds that can also be arranged as singles. Call Rover to join you as you have breakfast out on the patio on sunny mornings. Spend warm evenings out here too, looking out over the water, or strolling over the bridge. There is ample off-road parking.
