Sometimes all you need to relax the mind and revive the senses is a holiday with those you love most. Fortunately, this five-person, one-dog property in the coastal haven of Seahouses, Northumberland, offers just the place. Only a ball’s throw from Seahouses’ dog-friendly beaches (just a few hundred yards away) and multiple eateries, you will all be strolling along the sand and munching on fish and chips sooner than you can say “walkies!”.

Tastefully decorated in soothing, neutral tones splashed with playful nautical touches, this three-bedroom home-from-home is perfect for families looking for a good old fashioned holiday by the sea. Entering the property from the driveway, the ground floor of the cottage is home to a kitchen/diner, complete with ample facilities for meals at home and dining table and chairs. Tuck into hearty meals in the evening and once a certain four-legged friend has helped out with the leftovers, head into the lounge for an indulgent and cosy night in-front of the log burner.

Roused from the snuggly embrace of one of the first-floor bedrooms, head out with the dog for a walk along the front to the harbour (0.5 miles), ready to watch the fishermen return with their haul. Should some of your party wish to head out onto the big blue themselves, local operators offer boat trips to the Farne Islands, where you can see doe-eyed grey seals and magical puffins. Make time for a meal in one of the town’s dog-friendly pubs before returning to see out the day in the cottage’s private courtyard with seating, where you can sit back and unwind.

  • 3 bedrooms - 1 king-size, 1 double and 1 single
  • 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC and 1 en-suite WC

  • Wood burner (guests to provide logs)
  • Smart TV with Chromecast in lounge and TV/DVD in king sized bedroom
  • Parking at rear of property for 1 medium sized car
  • Private garden with furniture

The only slight issue was the parking. Space was tight but did not detract from our break.

Great place to stay for my family on our Northumberland trip, really close to the centre of Seahouses and well situated for meals and trips. The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed to settle in. The information pack was thorough and informative, and we were lucky with the weather - sunny all week! A lovely cottage in an excellent location, literally 2 mins from the harbour. Very comfortable and cosy with everything you need for a stay away from home. It was lovely sitting in the early evening sunshine in the garden with a glass of something. Lovely cottage, handy location in the village. Car parking space a huge plus in this location, but too small for my SUV. Local residents not particularly welcoming of holidaymakers we found.

The cottage is in a great location just a few minutes from beach , restaurants and shops. It is well equipped inside and having a parking space was really helpful. Our dog appreciated having outside space to sun herself too.

Very comfy cottage two minutes from the harbour. Lovely walks and good fish and chips. Parking bit tight - not suitable for a big car. Would book again.

We had a lovely holiday in this cosy, comfortable cottage. The location is excellent and the cottage has its own parking for an average sized car. However, we were disappointed the garden had not been given attention after a previous review was given. We had wonderful weather which probably highlighted it more for us. We had a lovely time at Baker's Cuddy. It was cosy and spotlessly clean. Well resourced with all the kitchen equipment you need, board games, books and a hairdryer. Our kids loved having a second TV in the bedroom too and we appreciated the ensuite wc. Being located in the Harbour was great and convenient, especially for dog walks on the beach. HowRead moreever, the roads leading to the cottage and the street itself are tight for manouvering the car but we did manage to park it on the drive. Hide

Loved staying in Seahouses for the Christmas week and Bakers Cuddy was a lovely property to spend quality family time together for 5 adults. Comfortable, warm and cosy, the house had everything we needed for our stay. Just a few minutes walk to either the village centre for the shops, the harbour, seafront and local pubs. Lovely cottage in a great location for the harbour and coastal walks. The prosecco and biscuits were very welcome and enjoyed! The garden does need some TLC to make it nice to sit outside, but overall we were happy with our accommodation. Thank you for having us!
