Ascend the steps into the kitchen and prepare a feast, dining around the table with a bottle of wine or escaping outside to dine alfresco. Take care to supervise curious hounds as the garden space is enclosed, for small dogs, but not large jumping ones! however, they’ll probably not stray too far when they catch the scent of the BBQ.

Who could resist the miles of glorious Dales countryside when you have limbs to stretch and sticks to chase, especially when you factor in tasty Yorkshire fare from one of the many country pubs scattered throughout the rugged landscape. Skipton, 5 miles away, offers a plethora of independent shops and eateries to peruse, and there is also a medieval castle to explore.
