Property code: OC-84017

Nestled within the southern reaches of the Yorkshire Dales, this property is an excellent base for outdoor adventures. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, this former barn has been thoughtfully equipped with all the home comforts you need including a Nespresso coffee machine for that all-important first caffeine fix of the day. There’s no need for Fido to miss out on the fun; two hounds will be welcomed with open arms, or should we say paws.

High ceilings, exposed stone and timber beams set the scene from the moment you step inside to discover the impressive open-plan living space. Flopping down for a snooze is a treat for the waggy-tailed members of your party thanks to the underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, so they’ll be happy to keep you company whilst you lounge on the sofas or play a few games in the snug with children’s pool table. Ascend the steps into the kitchen and prepare a feast, dining around the table with a bottle of wine or escaping outside to dine alfresco. Take care to supervise curious hounds as the garden space is enclosed, for small dogs, but not large jumping ones! however,  they’ll probably not stray too far when they catch the scent of the BBQ.

The charming village of Rylstone may have found fame for being the inspiration behind the classic ‘Calendar Girls’ film, but it is well known amongst the canine population as being a brilliant base for walkies. Who could resist the miles of glorious Dales countryside when you have limbs to stretch and sticks to chase, especially when you factor in tasty Yorkshire fare from one of the many country pubs scattered throughout the rugged landscape. Skipton, 5 miles away, offers a plethora of independent shops and eateries to peruse, and there is also a medieval castle to explore.

Brooke Barn is a great place to stay particularly if you are a large group, more spacious than it looks on the photos with a kitchen perfect for socialising, a large dinning table and plenty of comfortable sofas. Downstairs toilet, en-suite and family bathroom. Location is great, very handy for Skipton. Can recommend the Devonshire Arms, a short caRead morer drive away, and hiring a canal boat. Brooke Barn is a lovely cottage, very comfortable and well equipped, Perfect for relaxing and thr games room was a real hit. The location is great for day trips and some lovely walks in the doorstep. We walked to both the Angel at Hetton and the Devonshire arms, both lovely. The enclosed outdoor space is wonderful if there is good weather. The onlyRead more star dropped is that it is located next to a road, which is quite noisy, but didnt detract from overall enjoyment of holiday at Brooke Barn. Hide

This was a beautiful, spacious and well maintained property which provided our whole family ( 8 adults and two dogs) with room to lounge, cook and eat downstairs and large well furnished bedrooms upstairs. The location was idyllic, with lovely dog walks on the door step, and the National Park a shirt drive away.

Really lovely cottage, we loved everything about it. The water boost didnt actually work for us so luckily having the 2 cottages meant we could still have showers!

An amazing house that is perfect for a family get together. It is spacious and beautifully fitted out with everything you could need. The walks nearby including some excellent pubs were another highlight. The road is a bit noisy, but that didnt detract from the experience we had.

Stunning Barn accommodation. Fully equipped with everything needed including BBQ and outdoor furniture. We walked to the nearby pub, The Angle and visited Grassington, Malham and Skipton.
