Our stay was over the New Year period. The cottage is small! It is well equipped. The bathroom is finished to a high standard, with a superb shower. The one bedroom is spacious, having a comfortable bed. More than ample heating kept the cottage cosy and warm! The televisions had a wide range of channels available and thus plenty of programmes to chRead moreoose. One negative - WiFi was a bit unreliable. Connection kept dropping out. Mr and Mrs Abbot (owners) live in other parts of the house. Hide

Allan the owner lives on the property and is very helpful. The property is comfortable and in a great location for exploring North Yorkshire and Cleveland hills. The food in the golden lion is very good, recommend booking. Dont know if its the location, Wi-fi is a little slow.

Small, but well equipped accommodation in the heart of the beautiful village of Osmotherley. Ideal for exploring the area and for a base for walking. Having a secure parking space is a big positive. The village shop is next door and there are 3 pubs in the village.

Osmotherley is a very popular and busy little village so Private Secure Parking behind locking electric doors was a huge bonus. Vane cottage was well equipped and comfortable and the welcome pack of milk, bread & butter and a coffee machine was most appreciated and made a good start to a most enjoyable holiday.

We received a warm welcome and were allowed in an hour early. The location is an excellent walking base and a lovely village. However we found the accommodation to be in need of updating.
