Cook up a romantic meal for two and enjoy an intimate dinner in the dining area. After dinner, make your way to the small patio area to the front of the cottage and enjoy a glass of something cool and crisp as you listen to the sound of the river bubbling by. Then, head to the living area to watch a movie as your pup stretches out in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire that sits in the cottage’s original fireplace. At the end of the day, you’ll find a bright and spacious bedroom upstairs.
Take a stroll on the Pennine Way up to Black Hill (6 miles) – the highest hill in West Yorkshire. The views over the Holme Valley are gorgeous. Culture vultures will love taking the pup for walkies at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (13 miles), where there are 100 sculptures to discover in the open air. Further afield, treat your pup to an underground hike through the ancient cavern system at Treak Cliff Cavern (28.5 miles).
