Whisk your favourite people away for the holiday of a lifetime at this eight-person cottage in the bucolic village of Uploders. A four-bedroom retreat, you can spend your days relaxing in the outside hot tub, playing fetch with Fido on the spacious lawn and tearing through jaw-dropping country and coast. Able to enjoy unfettered access to Dorset’s unique landscapes and only a stone’s throw from local amenities (the local dog-friendly pub is only 200m away), this cottage is sure to win the gold paward for the ultimate family getaway.

A great place for your friends, family and four-legged friend to gather throughout the day, the ground floor’s open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner oozes with homely appeal. Familiarise yourself with the kitchen and its many utensils before preparing a family feast. We’re sure your loyal canine chum will be on paw to help out with any taste-testing requirements, and there is a lovely dining area to enjoy once the meal has been approved! Drenched in sunshine in the summer months thanks to the French doors, the lounge area transforms into the cosiest of cocoons in winter with the wood burner roaring away. And, providing even more choice, there is a second living area too, complete with comfy sofas. Once tiredness starts to kick in and the dog is happily snoozing in front of the embers, there are four bedrooms ready and waiting for blissful night’s sleep.

Leading out from the French doors, the split-level garden beckons for leisurely mornings and lazy afternoons. Rotate between the patio, the luxurious seven-seater hot tub and the tiered garden and enjoy your private escape. At the top of the steep garden, there is another dining area, affording breathtaking views. To stock up on food and doggy treats, Bridport is 3.5 miles away.

Lovely cottage in very pretty part of Dorset with fabulous hot tub. Bridport is a nice town and easy access to the beach at West Bay. Be prepared to have baths again, and be careful not to accidentally set the hot tub to 'economy' which drops the temperature. Wonderful relaxing holiday in peace and quiet.

A great family Christmas at the Old Forge. Tastefully furnished with a very well equipped kitchen and a lovely wood burner to keep the party snug. The main bedrooms are very spacious and our young grandchildren had fun sleeping in the bunk beds - ideal for hanging Christmas Stockings ! There are some lovely village walks around Loders and Uploders Read more- we are just sorry we didn't find time to patronise the Crown - must drop in next time we are in the area. Thank you Emma for checking in on us. Hide

This is a beautiful and well-kept cottage with plenty of space for us all - the perfect place for us and our teenage boys. We are a family that enjoys walking so we were spoilt for choice with many of our walks ending at wonderful pubs. The coast was easy to get to for canoeing and adrenaline-fuelled RIB rides for the kids. The garden was equally bRead moreeautiful (the hot tub a real bonus) with plenty of garden furniture to eat dinner looking out over a stunning view, and then watch the sunset. Hide
