Filey is a fantastic and traditional seaside town with plenty to whet everyone’s appetite. This home sleeps five people and welcomes one dog, as no holiday is complete without our four-legged friends.
From the parking area at the back of the house, head through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Cook up a storm in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen before enjoying eating together around the six-seater dining table. Relax on the sumptuous sofas in the lounge, watch your favourite TV series and let Fido snooze away the day by your feet. A family bathroom completes the ground floor, and upstairs are three bedrooms and a separate WC. Outside, is a patio space with dining set, the ideal spot for enjoying an evening drink after a busy day exploring the Yorkshire coast and countryside.
Less than 200 metres away is sandy Filey Beach which stretches for 5 miles along the Yorkshire coastline. There are dog-friendly sections all year so there’s plenty of room for games of fetch, or simply just relax and soak up the sun. The delightful Glen Gardens is just across the road, a beautiful open space with play area, cafe and boating lake. Filey town itself has plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions. Head to Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park (1.5 miles), for a dog-friendly day out with all the family. If you like to take to the water, visit North Yorkshire Water Park (12.5 miles) for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and more. Britain’s ‘original’ seaside resort, Scarborough is 9 miles away, with a wider range of attractions and amenities.
