Such a lovely place to stay - cottage is spacious - definitely bigger inside than it looks outside. It was very clean, warm (on a chilly Feb) well equipped & comfortable. We have had a wonderful weekend at The Walled Garden in December. The building was warm and cosy, and welcomingly decorated for Christmas. Lovely cottage which accommodated our eleven people and 4 dogs easily. Huge plain garden for the children and dogs with absolutely no escape holes. We enjoyed the railway museum (free entry) in Darlington and had an excellent Sunday lunch at the hotel next door.
