A character-filled stone cottage nestled in a peaceful area of Bellingham, this rural hideaway is the ideal romantic hideaway for outdoorsy couples with four-pawed third wheels in tow. Enjoy the perfect scenic scamper to Hadrian's Wall and soak in the rich history and dramatic landscape, then head home to warm chilly paws in front of the roaring wood burner.

This charming homestay boasts an original inglenook fireplace and is styled in warm, earthy tones creating a cosy space to relax in. Dry soggy pups with a soft, fluffy towel then pad through to the bright kitchen where you can whip up some treats for the pack while gazing out over the garden before retreating to the warmth of the lounge where you can throw another log on the wood burner, snuggle on the leather sofas with a sweet treat, and plan out your next day’s adventure with dozing pups at your feet. Recharge in the airy double room and indulge in a lazy breakfast in bed overlooking the leafy lawn before being hounded out for morning walkies by your impatient tufty-pawed pals. Sip your morning coffee on the front patio while Fido and friends play on the lawn or tuck into a sizzling BBQ feast in the rear garden.

Go mutts for the tumbling streams and woodland trails at Hareshaw Linn waterfall, a scenic 3-mile round trip from Bellingham, then settle in for a round with the hound at a local pub. Culture canines can also sniff out the preserved Roman fort at Housesteads Fort 17 miles. On the whole it was a lovely place, however I do think that those that bring a dog should be aware that the garden is situated across the lane and not attached to the property.

Owner was very approachable -we made contact as arrived before checkin time and didn't realise cleaners had not been in. Thanks also for welcoming gift, much appreciated. Other great thing about the cottage was dog friendlness. Extremely convenient location in Bellingham, micro brewery on doorstep

Lovely well-equipped cottage, well presented and very welcoming. Everything you need to cook for yourself though with a number of restaurants and cafes nearby you could easily choose not to. Location was perfect for Hadrians Wall and Kielder forest & reservoir.

Overall the location is good near the waterfall and the village itself is lovely, with some lovely pubs serving great food and all within walking distance. Parking is a short walk away so best to offload car with everything you might need then park in the local car park suggested. The upstairs bedroom is very comfortable and the mattress is very coRead moremfortable but the downstairs is a bit dated in comparison. Hide

Lovely cottage in nice village, great setting. Various dog friendly pubs. Good food options, especially Reezek which catered for a large range of different foods. We tried a few and all were good.

Lovely cottage near town centre. We had dogs so having to go across the lane to get to the garden was not ideal. However it was private. Bellingham is a great little town with its own brewery. Lovely walk nearby for the dogs

Very pleasant, comfortable and dog-friendly cottage for couples. Village has pubs, cafes, groceries, filling station, takeaways and even a brewery with tap room and shop. Good riverside walks from the village and to waterfalls above village. Good location for visiting Hadrian's Wall and Kielder reservoir, or Hexham and Corbridge.

This is an interesting little cottage, ideal for two. It has been cleverly refurbished and the one bedroom is lovely. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden den with our hot chocolate, under the solar lights. We appreciated the welcome pack, although the cottage is well placed for the village and buying supplies. We hope to go back!

Had a great stay. The cottage was in a great location. Bellingham had 3 good pubs, shops and cafes. The local brewery tap room was only 100m from the cottage. The bed was very comfortable and had lovely outside space. The kitchen was small but well equipped. The bathroom could do with a deep clean but the shower had good pressure.
