Situated in a lovely location. Not recommended for people with mobility problems. No handrail on access steps or ramp for wheelchairs or walking aids. Disappointed that paddock was overgrown and not really accessible for the dog. If these problems were addressed it would be an excellent place.

We had an absolutely lovely time - the place was spacious and very tastefully decorated- being able to sit out the front every evening and enjoy the view and spot the local barn owl was wonderful. Also, situated between the dales and the moor meant we were able to visit both areas easily.

We had a lovely week at The Old Kennels. A beautiful house and a lovely garden. The chairs on the terrace were very comfortable too. Everything is done in a tasteful way. We enjoyed our week. A suggestion might be to provide the visitors with some information that might be useful (doctor e.g.) or pleasant (restaurants etc).

Lovely place, saw a barn owl most nights, and a herd of deer on the way out. Super bakery in Bedale. The dog loved the run of the paddock.

The Kennels is the most lovely house in a beautiful location. There is a south facing terrace with a variety of seats to enjoy sitting out. The house works really well inside and the bedrooms are spacious and welcoming. We will definitely come back.
