This Georgian grade II listed property is located in the village location of Hunmanby, North Yorkshire, with plenty of space for every member of your family including the four-legged varieties. The property sleeps 10 over its five bedrooms, with two tail-wagging friends welcome, too. This is the ideal location to enjoy a plethora of walking and cycling trails as well as the nearby beaches of Filey (4 miles) and Scarborough (10 miles). This is a property located in a beautiful area with sea views and wildlife at your fingertips.

The period property is bursting with unique features that give a nod to the history of the home. Original tiled floors, uneven with wear, only add to the ambience of the space. A kitchen and utility room crammed with authentic features give a country house charm which continues throughout - you can just imagine the scent of freshly baked bread wafting through the house from the traditional bread oven in times gone by. The outdoor space in this home is also truly special with an enclosed garden, a patio area with large table and seating for all, and a grassed area with further seating to enjoy the wonderful views. There’s plenty of space to run around and play ball with the dogs, though be careful not to toss it into the wishing well and waste your wish.

Local pubs and shops can be found less than half a mile away, giving you the option to cook for all your brood or have a night off from the washing up. You’ll be hard-pressed to find any fresher fish and chips on the east coast than in Scarborough and Filey, so take a trip up north if you want to sample the local cuisine. Flamborough Headland, with its dramatic chalk cliffs is well worth a visit with the dogs, affording great walks and the chance to spot some rare birds at the renowned RSPB site.

This is a quaint old farmhouse with some lovely cosy rooms and comfortable beds and in a village with useful shops and eating places and public transport to local towns. We did enjoy our stay despite issues with water ingress during heavy rain - partly because we grew up in an old farmhouse. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Castle House: "the best holiday cottage we've stayed at". The accommodation was supremely well-equipped, spacious, and we enjoyed discovering the local area. We appreciated the info about the house's history and that of Hunmanby, and the wonderful local shops (butchers and hardware store highly recommended). Park and Read moreride to York worked well for a day out, local train station very convenient for travel, Hunmanby gap/beach and Filey paddling pool were well used. Hide

The cottage offers a large space for family of different generations to share whilst also giving good separation at times. The kitchen is well equipped and means eating at home is easy. The garden area is lovely and there are many games for the family to play. The history of the cottage is really interesting and there are lots of rooms to enjoy.

Had a lovely week at Castle House Farm. What a fantastic, quirky, grade 2 listed farm house with many original artifacts. More history would have been nice, but just because we are nosy! Great place for children. The cottage is comfortable but you are not worried about things getting broken. We had travel cot for 1 child but one bedroom is really only a single so I wouldnt go with more than 9 people if they are big. The kids loved the garden especially the swing seat. This property is big enough to accommodate ten people. The village of Hunmanby is nice with a few small shops. A supermarket can be found in Filey, which is only a few miles away. There is good outdoor space for sitting/ eating.

Quirky old farmhouse with lots of nooks and crannies. Comfortable, clean and warm. Plenty of space for our large family group. Local amenities within a few hundred yards- pubs shops ect. You can see the sea from 2 bedrooms. 3 miles to Filey. There is even a walk over the fields into the town that is around 2 miles.
