Set in the heart of the colourful coastal village of Seahouses, this traditional fisherman's cottage makes a fantastic holiday retreat for couples and smaller families keen to discover an idyllic part of Northumberland. With ample space for four guests, the charming bolthole also has plenty of room for a four-pawed pal to join you in exploring the region's dog-friendly beaches, picturesque resorts and magnificent countryside. Enjoying a peaceful location close to the harbour, this nautically-inspired property has been thoughtfully updated, decorated in light, neutral shades and features a welcoming wood burner, stone inglenook and original timber beams.
Entering this delightful stone-built cottage, head through to the light-filled lounge/diner which makes a lovely space to unwind in after a great day exploring with your pet. There's a dining table in one corner, while the lounge area has wooden flooring and ceiling beams, cosy seating and a wood burner set in a beautiful ornamental surround, perfect for weary pets to snooze in front of. The ground floor also features a fully equipped kitchen and a refreshing bathroom. An open-tread staircase leads up to two first-floor bedrooms: a cheery bunk bedroom and a fresh and spacious king-size room. Outside, the porch has space for boots and outdoor clothing and leads along to a shared yard. Off-road private parking is available to the side of the cottage for one small to medium car.
Seahouses has a choice of pubs and restaurants, alongside a bustling harbour and a lovely pet-friendly beach. Dogs are welcome along many of the beaches in this part of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape, including Budle Bay, Beadnell Bay and Craster, all within 11 miles. Pets can also help you explore the grounds at Dunstanburgh Castle (10.5 miles) and Bamburgh Castle (3.5 miles) or take a trip to Lindisfarne (17 miles).
