Located deep in the New Forest, this impressive six-bedroom property is a superb choice for larger groups of up to 11 people, who are getting together for a special occasion with two well-behaved canine companions. Set within 20 acres of private grounds, it offers ample opportunities for the stick chasers in the group to get out and explore. With fantastic walking and cycling routes on the doorstep too, this rural retreat is perfect for those who love outdoor pursuits and the countryside.

With elegant decor, character features and sumptuous furniture throughout, this bolthole is a relaxing and welcoming home. The vaulted beamed kitchen is equipped with all the essentials and has a large oak table that’s great for social breakfasts, while the dining room is perfect for more formal occasions. There are plenty of cosy spots for your guests to put weary feet and paws up, with the open fire in the living room creating a warming spot for tired hounds. A separate snug room is an additional space to relax. Heading upstairs you’ll find four of the bedrooms, each with their own style and design, created with rest and relaxation in mind. Two further bedrooms can be reached on the second floor. Fire up the BBQ on the patio, while the four-legged members of the group sniff out some new adventures.

Leave the car at home and set out on one of the walking and cycling routes that pass your front door and stop off at one of the many local pubs along the way. Spend the day at the Moors Valley Country Park and Forest (8.5 miles) and enjoy a ride on an authentic steam train at the Moors Valley Railway, which welcomes dogs. Meander around the shops in historic Ringwood, which is just 6 miles from the cottage.

A beautiful house set in a beautiful garden. This is a generously proportioned house with lots of communal space to eat, play and enjoy one another's company...perfect for an extended family holiday or group of friends. We were lucky with fabulous weather so took full advantage of the lovely garden which is has a meadow and is filled with all sortsRead more of wildlife, we were particularly entranced by all the birds and butterflies, in the evenings we watched the house martins building their nests and listened to the chirring of the nightjars, a tawny owl lives nearby. There is an excellent supply of indoor and outdoor toys and games including a petanque court , croquet set and swing. The kitchen is well appointed and has plenty of space. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable. Kelly was very helpful and responsive to our enquiries. The New Forest is a good area for walkers and cyclists and access to the seaside is easy in a car. Hide

Luxurious house, ideally placed with a couple of eateries within walking distance. Plenty of room for the family, with space to spread out. We lived in the kitchen room, ample room when we expanded to 13 for one afternoon. Well equipped kitchen, we stayed in November and had to turn the Aga off, it does get very warm. Magnificent house with wonderful garden. Space and facilities in the house were really appreciated. The 3 generations of our family all found themselves at home instantly and the added benefit of being able to walk directly from the house through the forest to nearby pubs made our stay perfect.

Wonderful Christmas at Broomy Lodge/Rightman's Place. The lodge was beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming. The family and dogs enjoyed the gardens and surrounding walks and all the facilities. This is our second stay and lived up to all our expectations, can really recommend for Christmas or at any time of the year.

We are a family of three generations and two dogs and have had three visits to Rightmans Place. We are planning our fourth visit! It has just the right mix of luxury and homeliness with everything that you could want for all ages.
