This tranquil property, set in Burridge, enjoys peaceful countryside views, a private dog-walking paddock and a fabulous forest backdrop. It’s an ideal place for a family reunion or celebration with plenty of space for three canine companions too.

A shared driveway leads to the entrance of this five-bedroom property. Inside, the whole family can relax in the games room with its pool table, dart board (bring your own darts), Playstation and bar. There’s also a wood burner to keep things warm on chillier nights which makes the perfect place for your pup to have a snooze. Afterwards, step through to the kitchen and cook up a feast on the Aga before gathering at the dining table for a meal all together. Later in the evening you can retire to the spacious lounge where you can sink into the plump sofas or unwind in the glorious sunroom. The sunroom opens onto the garden so curious canines can sniff around outside while you soak up the countryside views. When it’s time for bed, head upstairs and take your pick from two pretty, en-suite double bedrooms, two, light and airy twin bedrooms and a king room. Outside, a large patio is perfectly set up with a hot tub, BBQ perfect for al fresco dining while Fido can stretch his legs on the lawn or in the enclosed dog-walking paddock. But to really get tails wagging, stroll through your own bluebell wood to a private stretch of riverbank where you can paddleboard and kayak on the water while Fido rambles in the marshland – such a great property for enjoying the outdoors.

Your pups will love the walks from the doorstep but for a change of terrain, journey to Curbridge Nature Reserve and Swanwick Lakes (both less than 1.5 miles away). Itchen Valley Country Park (7 miles) with its woodland and nature trails also welcomes well-behaved dogs, and is a fantastic place for children too as they can explore the trees and fly on ziplines at the activity centre. For shops, restaurants and cafes, Whitely Shopping Centre is just 2 miles away.

A lovely big house with plenty of space for 10 people. Beautiful location on the river where everyone enjoyed paddling boarding. The games room and hot tub were a real hit with all the family. We had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend at Hamble Reach as the whole family came to enjoy my birthday. The house was immaculate but warm, welcoming and perfectly equipped to make everyone feel at home. A great spacious property which allowed 6 adults, 2 children and a baby to have privacy when needed. The property needs decorating in places which makes it look tired. Not as described or as shown in the photos. Messy and dirty and no positive response from caretaker, who did not rectify the issues. Sewerage was emptied while we were there very disappointing. It was a special occasion and did not justify the cost of the property. Tried to engage with Holiday cottages and still no follow up - would not recommend.

Lovely big house ideal for family gatherings. Garden is straight onto the river (down a slope) which may mean your dog (or child) can access the water unsupervised. There is also free range wildlife which dogs may chase. Good location for access to motorway, shops and restaurants but lovely and quiet.

Excellent location and lovely house; however faulty toilet throughout the week meant that three bathroom property didnt live up to expectations or price tag, and families had to share a bathroom. No attempt to fix the toilet throughout the week, therefore should not have been advertised as three separate bathrooms.
