With its large enclosed garden backing on to fields and farmland, tails will be wagging as you holiday at this countryside cottage. With three bedrooms and ample living space, this is the ideal destination to enjoy a holiday with friends or family – including four-legged members – who wish to enjoy the National Parks on the doorstep. Located in the quaint village of East Cowton, this semi-detached property is within walking distance of the village pub, where dogs are welcome, and close to the wider amenities of nearby Northallerton.

Your canine companion can curl up on the rug in front of the wood burner as you rest your paws on one of the plump sofas after a long day wandering the Yorkshire Dales. Conjure up a meal for the whole family in the well-equipped kitchen/diner as your dog wanders back and forth in the enclosed garden. Two doubles and a twin bedroom mean your hound has a choice of where to arrange their bedding for the night. A family bathroom completes your accommodation. On a sunny day, you can relax with an al fresco drink while your pup romps around the secure garden.

With a public footpath steps from your front door and open farmland surrounding your cottage, you do not have to venture far to enjoy lovely dog walks. Discover ‘Herriot Country’ from nearby Northallerton (2 miles) where you can access both the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North York Moors National Park and explore the dramatic beauty of this spectacular landscape. Rest your paws and enjoy the scenery from the Wensleydale Railway (13 miles) where the whole family, including your dog, can take in the sights on the heritage railway.

This was our 2nd visit and still didnt disappoint this cottage is amazing perfect location nice quiet little village the cottage is very clean and comfortable the back garden is exceptional lovely sitting out area with lovely furniture.

A welcoming , and spotlessly clean cottage. Bedrooms on the smaller side but spacious downstairs rooms. Large garden and off street parking an asset. A few local walks but generally a 20-30 min car journey to places of interest and shopping..

Our stay was wonderful. The welcome package was so such a wonderful surprise. The kitchen and the cooking utensils were clean and perfect. The house was so lovely and comfortable. That village itself was just beautiful and everyone there was very friendly. I couldn't believe how dog friendly the whole area was. We went into Richmond and NorthallertRead moreon market and we could take our dogs into almost every shop, cafe, pub. We would love to come and stay again. Hide

Lovely location,opposite a little shop (only opens for a few hours a day)great pub,dog friendly,lovely food. We picked this cottage because of its secure garden,be aware that the next door neighbour comes though the garden to get outside,our dog is reactive and this caused a big problem when letting him go outside,we couldnt leave him unattended juRead morest in case, Great area and the owners are very helpful. Spacious cottage in lovely village and central location to visit Yorkshire villages and the Coast. Enclosed large garden with seating. All kitchen equipment you need, to self cater. Local pub Beeswing does fabulous food every day 12pm-8pm and two minute walk.

This is our second visit to this cottage. Fantastic location, sunsets at 5am are amazing. If you want peace & quite this us the place to stay. All locals very friendly, local pub is 1 minute walk away, great food. Ideal to visit Northallerton and Richmond. All rooms are spacious, clean & tidy. Log burner is a lovely touch on an evening. The cottage is located in a beautiful village. There is a main road in front of tge cottage but thus isn't busy at all. There is a small village shop across the road and a village hall. The Beeswing pub is a minute walk away which us a cosy , friendly pub the meals are very good and a good choice on the menu. We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was everything we needed. The playground and shop opposite were ideal. The village is cute and quiet. Perfect for a family of 4 and the grandparents. The cottage is wonderfully clean and great facilities.

Cottage is nice and cozy comfy settees and very comfy beds location is fab lovely and quiet plenty of walks we were a family of 4 adults 2 children and 2 dogs welcome hamper was amazing the best weve ever had would highly recommend and will definitely book again.

Lovely, comfortable dog-friendly cottage located in a quiet village. Ideally placed for visiting many places around North Yorkshire and South Durham or just walking locally. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely surprise and really appreciated.

A lovely home from home. We had two adults and one nine year old child plus one labrador. Our week went past far two quickly. The cottage is an ideal base for visiting many places around North Yorkshire. Emma the owner was lovely and very helpful.
