This luxurious little hub for two promises the perfect place to stay for a romantic retreat filled with dog-walking excursions. An exceptional base for pup-loving couples, this Christchurch property welcomes two dogs and benefits from an enclosed courtyard space where canine companions can stretch their legs first thing in the morning and late at night. Situated next to the owner’s home and within walking distance of both the beach and the New Forest, you’re certain to sniff out some unrivalled adventures when holidaying here.

The annexed property is entirely open plan with French doors flooding the accommodation with light and boasting direct access to the outdoor space. Your beloved doggos will no doubt find a cosy spot to curl up in with their favourite beds and blankets, perhaps close to the coal-effect stove for that extra bit of warmth. You can put your feet up and watch TV from the sofa or settle into the double bed for a restful night. In the morning, a small but functional kitchenette provides everything you need to refuel with a hearty breakfast, including that all-important coffee machine.

Pack up tennis balls and a picnic filled with dog treats to set out for the day. Leave no stick unfetched in the vast and vibrant parkland of the New Forest National Park (3 miles) yet be sure to keep a close eye on your energetic bow-wows when approaching the wild ponies and deer that graze here! A great location, this compact property has everything you need for a romantic stay for two. The enclosed courtyard is ideal if you want to take your furry friend. There is ample off road parking for one car. Local beaches pubs and restaurants are nearby. Alan the host. Is very friendly and helpful.

Alan is a wonderful host. The Den has everything you could possibly need for a break and the enclosed patio area is perfect for a dog that cant be let off the lead. This is our second visit and we 110% recommend and we will definitely be back.

The Den was smaller than we expected however it was ideal for our 3 night stay. It was finished and equipped to a very high standard and Mr Meech is a very hospitable host. It has an easily accessible parking space outside so no struggle to find a parking space after a day sight seeing. The accommodation is very compact, but has everything you would need. The host was very helpful. A perfect place for walking along the coast and there are bus routes available if you don't want to drive.

The Den is a perfect location for exploring both the coast and the New Forest. Beautifully equipped and kept, extremely comfortable for my husband and I, our little dog Elsie made herself quite comfortable as well with the secure courtyard to keep her safe. Chewton Den was perfectly situated for our visit to Highcliffe. It is cozy, clean and comfortable. The owners have equipped it with high end touches and generously provided luxuries for our stay. We wanted peace and quiet and the lovely courtyard garden created this. Alan was a perfect host.

Initially, we thought the property was smaller than we anticipated, but could not fault the presentation or little touches with all the extras provided. It was a very comfortable and well equipped place to stay and located in a beautiful place. The beach only a 10 minute walk. Chewton Den was a great little find. The owner, Alan, is a very welcoming and friendly chap who has gone that extra mile to make this the perfect little bolt hole for a cosy break. Small but perfectly formed in every way.An incredibly creative use of a small space ,great attention to detail.The Den lacked for nothing !
