Set just a mile from Harrogate’s exciting high street and 2 miles from the convention centre, this superb town house will have humans and hounds hankering for their next holiday. Known for its vibrant cafe culture, cream teas and elegant Georgian architecture, the town also boasts the sumptuous Turkish Baths, two cinemas and a cornucopia of parks, gardens, galleries, independent shops and dog friendly pubs and eateries, such as the excellent Harrogate Tap. Marvel at the resplendent Royal Hall Theatre and explore the local park, the Stray’s 200 acres of gorgeous grass parkland, and Valley Gardens’ Grade II listed loveliness (2 miles). Revel in ruined romance at Knaresborough Castle and discover the petrifying secrets of Mother Shipton’s Cave (both 4 miles).

Up two steps and through the door you’ll find a cosy and stylish interior, full of loving touches.  Prepare sumptuous local produce in the bright, galley-style kitchen, with everything within easy reach – and feast in style in the rustic yet refined dining room, or in the enclosed rear yard. Soak in the skylit bathroom’s steaming tub (down two steps from the landing), before drifting to a sweet sleep in the two upstairs bedrooms - the super king-size is a paradise of restrained decadence, with glorious wallpaper and exquisite period features.

Try canyoning, rock climbing and kayaking at magnificent How Stean Gorge (24 miles). Humans and hounds will love clambering around Brimham Rocks (11.5 miles), or exploring the ancient lanes of Leeds (15 miles) and York (21 miles), with their cathedrals, independent shops, pubs, galleries, parks and museums. Discover Spofforth and Harewood Castles (both within 6 miles); sensitive noses will love sniffing out the ruins of the latter, hidden dramatically in the woods.

We had an amazing time, loved the property. It was well decorated in general and better decorated for Christmas than the last two properties we stayed in for Christmas. The location is fantastic for buses or trains.

A very comfortable and spacious home filled with interesting and beautiful things. An amazing attention to detail. We found that the house was very conveniently situated to use the frequent number 36 bus service into the town centre.

Great location for walking into Harrogate, catching local train services, plenty of shops and supermarkets on the doorstep, the local park right next door to the house is fantastic if you are with your dog. Comfortable and had everything we needed.

Loved this house, home from home. Easy to walk into town or get a taxi, very cheap, under 5. We got the train to York one day as the train station is just a 10 minute walk or you can also go to Leeds. Would love to stay here again and I would definitely recommend this lovely house. Thank you.

A gorgeous house, we ending up staying at home in the evening much more than we expected as it was so comfortable. Great shops and cafes nearby and easy to get the bus into Harrogate. Would highly recommend Tarbetts fishmonger who can make up a fish platter to order.
