A charming 18th-century cottage on Holy Island, an oasis of calm just off the Northumberland Coast AONB. Perfect for a family or group of friends, the dog-friendly cottage features an inviting lounge, a spacious dining room and a small patio garden to the rear. It is the ideal base for absorbing the cultural, historic and natural attractions across the island and the Northumberland itself.

The two-storey cottage is one of the oldest properties on the island and sits across from the village green, home to a tree planted by HM The Queen back in 1958. The cottage’s interior is cosy and cheerful, with original features including oak beams found throughout. Curl up with loved ones or a good book in the lounge, a beautifully lit area that comes into its own when the wood burner glows. The nearby kitchen is the perfect place to experiment with local ingredients, with plenty of room for long, indulgent meals in the spacious dining room opposite. When everyone on two legs decides to call it a day, ascend to the comfort of any one of the cottage’s three bedrooms - a spacious king-size bedroom, a bunk bedroom or a twin bedroom. Guests can recharge as required in the nearby shower room. The small patio at the rear of the property is just the place to plan for the day or enjoy refreshments in peace.

Holy Island has an impressive array of dog-friendly spaces, including the beach and various pubs and cafes. The island’s priory is dog-friendly, and guests take their dogs around the impressive castle. On the mainland, the beach and the village of Bamburgh (15 miles) await, and there are further shorelines, walking routes and a Dark Sky Park within 10 miles.

Superbly located cottage, right in the heart of the village, with easy access to beaches, coastal path and two of the three island pubs. Britannia House was clean, cosy and comfy, well equipped, which meant we could cook at home. Excellent location for our annual trip to Holy Island. The link to the band Lindisfarne took me back to my youth :) . To paraphrase we will be back for Christmas (already booked)

Lovely cottage, great location. Lots to see and do. You do have to keep track of the tides though. I have been before to the island and love it.

Three of us friends came to Deja Blue, and each had a room. We loved how well kitted out the house was for self catering. Touches like: fairy liquid, kitchen towels and sponge/brush, Some oil. A welcome pack for hot drinks. Note that the shop on the island is now closed so getting a food delivery was very much needed and easy to organise with the tRead moreides. Great location and comfortable house with lovely bay windows for people watching. Patio is great to get out of the wind. Great welcome. Thanks Hide

A great location, comfortable beds and lounge seating. Well equipped kitchen. Take any groceries with you as there are no food shops on the island. Be to prepared to walk, then walk some more, although this isn't arduous as the wildlife and scenery are amazing!

It is a lovely cottage in a great location. This was our 3rd stay on the Island but not been for about 10 years. It seemed busier than I remember but lovely and quiet when the causeway was shut. It is a magical place and we had a very relaxing holiday. Lovely dog walks on deserted sandy beaches..bliss. The cottage is very well equipped and has beenRead more extended since we last stayed with a dining room off the kitchen. There is a wood burner and you can buy logs from the garage just after the causeway Hide
