Excellent location for the shops and visits to the surrounding area. Although there is no car parking at the property, the owner made me aware of free parking in the area and provided a car park pass for several locations, which I made good use of. Lymington is a very friendly town and the high street is well stocked with shops and supermarkets - iRead moret has all you need really. As noted in previous reviews, the steps to the mezzanine floor are quite steep. It is also very dog-friendly, and the provision of bowls and a place for them was greatly appreciated. Hide

Our stay at the Shoemaker's Cottage was like stepping into a dream from another era. Nestled in the New Forest, the cottage whispered with historywooden beams, crackling fireplace, and Paula, the owner, was like a guiding light, warm and generous. We left with our hearts full and a bit of forest magic in our pockets."

Huge thanks for a great week. Lovely cottage with some historic features that made it a place for a character to relax in. Location was ideal for the high street, quay and marina, though I did spend a fortune on parking but you can't have it all! As somebody who doesn't have a garden (living in a first floor one bedroom flat) the outside space was Read moremost enjoyed. The hidden cutlery drawer was amusing, shower was great and bed comfy. Loved all the pictures and stuff scattered everywhere! Cheers! Hide

Very quirky individual property in a fantastic location just off the high street in a fabulous friendly town. Lovely enclosed patio for meals, sun room great for relaxing with a book. Shower great, bed comfy. The stairs to the mezzanine bedroom were somewhat challenging - very steep half steps with one handrail.

You could not ask for a better location. The cottage is tucked behind a shop on the High Street yet is very quiet. Beautifully and interestingly decorated with a cosy conservatory. Comfy bed as well!
