Enjoy a relaxing coastal escape at this picturesque former fisherman’s cottage, which boasts incredible views over Seahouses Harbour and the spectacular Farne Islands. Full of original features yet furnished in a contemporary coastal style, the property makes a wonderful bolthole for a romantic couples’ adventure or small family getaway. And because no family trip is complete without a tail-wagging, stick-chasing best furry friend, there are ample dog-friendly walks and activities on the doorstep to discover too, making it perfect for the whole family.

With a reverse-level layout to make the most of those spectacular views from the first-floor balcony, the owners of this cottage have thought of every little detail. On the ground floor are two contemporary bedrooms - one double and a twin - while on the first floor you’ll find the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, complete with exposed beams and feature stone wall. Spend your mornings with a coffee in hand, drinking in the view and your evenings curled up with the dog beside the wood burner effect electric fire, with your favourite film on the Smart TV.

For a little more adventure though, check out the miles of walking and cycling routes that lead to the castles at Bamburgh (3.5 miles), Alnwick (16.5 miles), Dunstanburgh (10 miles) and Warkworth (19.5 miles), or simply make a splash on the dog-friendly beach here at Seahouses. Holy Island (18.5 miles) and the National Trust’s Farne Islands (1 mile by boat) are also easily accessible.

Lovely cozy cottage in brilliant location. Well equipped and lots of extras such as camping chairs, blankets and binoculars! Our dog was unable to get up the stairs because of arthritis but we camped out on he front and met loads of lovely people.

What a view when you first walk into the sitting room - Wow!! A fantastic central location for Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster to taste the kippers and Berwick Upon Tweed. This is a wonderfully appointed comfortable accommodation but if you have any mobile problems this is an upside down house with very steep stairs. If you are taking a dog there is no enclosed exercise space but a dog friendly beach at the front of the property again accessed by stairs. We had a lovely stay at Harbourside , the cottage had everything we could need and was nice and clean, the bedding was fresh and white :) What an amazing location, beautiful views of the harbour, fantastic pubs all around for food/drink.

Superb location, good inventory including extra things for our furry friend. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting this part of Northumberland. Plenty of good places to eat locally. Great to watch the activities in the harbour & to see the Farne Islands in the distance.
