This charming lodge sits in lush farmland and is located halfway between Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare (within 12 miles). The dog-friendly lodge features a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a king-size bedroom and a covered decked overlooking an attractive garden with a picket fence. It is perfect for couples seeking a romantic break in the tranquil Somerset countryside.

The lodge stands at the end of a quiet country lane and has a relaxing ambience thanks to its rustic colour palette and soft furnishings. Its rooms, though small in number, are all naturally lit and tastefully appointed, with plenty of small details catching the eye. The comfortable open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a fantastic place to relax ahead of a lazy brunch or during a late film after a romantic dinner. The warm embrace of the king-size bedroom is only a few paw prints away and, like the adjacent shower room, is the perfect place to recharge after a long day. The covered decked area immediately at the front of the lodge overlooks an attractive gravel garden decorated with shrubs and ornaments, a great place for a morning coffee, alfresco meal or sunset cocktail.

The lodge sits halfway between Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare (within 12 miles) and is surrounded by footpaths and trails. Cadbury Hill Local Nature Reserve (2 miles) is great for a wander with the dog, while the spectacular views of Cheddar Gorge (11 miles) are unforgettable. Clevedon (6.5 miles), like Bristol, is awash with dog-friendly shops and pubs and, like Weston-Super-Mare, is a thriving coastal community home to a beach and stunning pier.

We had such a lovely stay at Red Apple Lodge. The lodge is so lovely and is surrounded by a wild garden in a very quiet and well situated location. The lodge itself is well equipped and furnished well. Would thoroughly recommend to any couple looking to relax and get away from the stresses of a busy life

This cabin is a gem, I wanted a quiet and comfortable getaway and I had the perfect place in this cabin. The log fire was wonderful and heated the cabin very effectively. My host had it going when I arrived which I really appreciated. The facilities for cooking are ample and the sofa and bed were really comfortable. My hosts were lovely, very frienRead moredly and generous with my welcome pack and firewood. I had a restorative Xmas. I found the area great for dog walking and local places to visit. Hide

Red Apple Lodge was absolutely perfect. It was cosy and really well equipped with lovely quality items. The sofa and bed were really comfortable, and despite it being November, it was well heated. The hosts were really welcoming and it was in a good location, not far from amenities but nicely tucked away in a lovely village.

We loved staying in this cute little cottage with our dog. Although on the small side, the layout and design is very well thought out with comfort at the forefront. The welcome gifts of wine, coffee, tea and biscuits were much appreciated after a long drive. The living room is cozy and comfortable, with plenty of books to read and games to play. WeRead more managed to cook every night, made easy by a good assortment of herbs, spices and oils to use. The bedroom has a large comfortable bed. Hide

Very warm welcome and lots of equipment you might need but no oven although an air fryer available. The bed is big and comfortable. Cabin is quite small but big enough for two. The immediate surrounds not picturesque and lanes quite narrow. Yatton a few miles away for supplies, pubs etc.

Beautiful place, so peaceful. Only thing you hear is nature and the odd plane, bur that didn't bother us. Beaches only 20min drive away, pub 20min walk through the fields. Just perfect for us, away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Plus our dog enjoyed herself aswell.

I enjoyed my stay in Red Apple Lodge. The property is well equipped, and scrupulously clean. It is compact, but has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The host was very helpful, and provided a selection of welcome snacks and drinks. I would recommend approaching from Claverham - my satnav took me cross country along very narrow twisting roadRead mores, one track in places. Hide
