Large groups will enjoy gorgeous sea views, spacious rooms and excellent facilities at this high-quality seaside property – with room for two furry friends to join in the fun. After invigorating walks on the coastal path or in the Cheviot Hills, your pups can play on the enclosed lawn while you pour a sundowner on the patio.
A combination of stylish decor and handsome period features makes this three-storey house stand out from the crowd. The bright lounge/diner is the perfect spot for sociable gatherings, with your four-pawed friends at your feet. Relaxed suppers at the dining table can be followed by an evening basking in the warmth of the wood burner, perhaps enjoying some music, a DVD or the TV – or simply relishing the sea view through the bay window. Cooks will appreciate the excellent kitchen, with its range-style cooker, dishwasher and microwave. On the first floor you’ll find the double and twin bedrooms, along with the family bathroom, and the top floor is home to the triple bedroom and (down two steps) its en-suite shower room, both with areas of low, sloping ceiling. The decked patio is just outside the back door, a perfect spot for a coffee or a drink, and a short flight of stone steps takes you up to the large lawn where hounds and children can play. You’ll have off-road parking for two cars, with space by the patio for a third car if necessary.
A fabulous location on the promenade in Spittal means you can easily access the resort’s dog-friendly beach, a wonderful place for long runs in the surf and games of fetch. Walk the coastal path or head over the river to Berwick-upon-Tweed (1.5 miles), where you’ll discover cobbled streets, castle ramparts and plenty more shops and places to eat.
