Ticking all the boxes for a dog-loving family break, this perfectly appointed property offers an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland Coast. Pack your tennis balls and head to Beadnell Bay beach, a popular sandy spot to play fetch with the dogs and let your young ones splash in the sea. Well suited to a small family, the house comfortably sleeps four guests and two four-pawed pals.

Located on the banks of the local lake, this cottage benefits from calming views across the water. Inside, the decor has been kept simple and homely, putting comfort first in each and every room. The ground floor offers an open-plan lounge and dining room with a well-equipped modern kitchen. Fido and Rover will appreciate having their entire pack in one place, and the open-plan accommodation ensures sociable evenings in. Be sure to make full use of the waterside location on warmer evenings, enjoying an after-dinner tipple on the patio.

For your early morning dog walk head out to the village’s local cafe/patisserie and treat the family to some indulgent breakfast treats. While away a sunny afternoon on Beadnell Bay beach, chasing tennis balls and building sandcastles. In colder weather enjoy brisk walks along the Northumberland coastline, taking in stunning sea views and watching out for puffins, seals and even dolphins. An enjoyable 5.5-mile walk to the local Bamburgh Castle offers a rewarding day out, stopping for fish and chips in the village of Seahouses (2 miles) and exploring the grounds of the medieval fortress at Bamburgh.

Great location, friendly neighbours, excellent base to explore the area. Nice and quiet, peppered with occasional seagull squawk. The heating was easy to operate, warm and cosy

The location of this property is a treat in itself with all the birdlife and only 5-10 minutes walk to the beach and a charming village with great places to eat. I liked this cottage so much this is the second time I have stayed.

Wonderful accommodation, close to village centre, pubs/cafes with great food not forgetting the chippy van. We parked up and didnt use the car all week! 2 on the bus gets you from Berwick to Newcastle and all places in between. We had a lovely comfortable bed and a cosy house. Thanks to the owners for the welcome pack too

Property wasn't as we expected. From the picture and description you expect it to be detached, which It isn't, it's one building with 4 properties so you can hear everyone walking upstairs, TV noise. No privacy in garden, plus you have to walk through the neighbours garden to go out.
