  • Spacious family holiday home with table tennis and garden games
Property code: OC-62640

This storybook stone cottage near to the beachside village of Beadnell could be your next holiday home. With romantic country gardens to both the front and rear, and cosy family rooms, this place will offer both your human and canine contingent a dreamy retreat on the Northumberland coast.

The property is a traditional semi-detached cottage with pretty stone facade. Enter to discover a large and light lounge, where you can relax, read, play games, and your pup can enjoy a well-earned doze. The kitchen is the hub of the house, decorated in a romantic country style. Head up the stairs to choose your bedroom. There are three charming rooms offering a variety of sleeping arrangements, including a tranquil double, a fun twin room with a nautical theme, and a pretty single for some sweet solitude. Your dog won’t care about these rooms though — she’ll be wagging to get out onto the rolling lawn outside. And with seating areas nestled among the planting, you can sit back and enjoy a holiday cup of tea while your pup plays.

The area around the cottage is inspiring and peaceful. Take a mile’s stroll to explore the village of Beadnell and its quaint dog-friendly pubs. Venture onto the beach 2 miles away, for a day of frisbee and paddling, basking under the sun on the glittery stretch of Beadnell Bay. Take a boat trip from the port 4.5 miles away to visit the Farne Islands; Longstone Island, famous for its seabirds and seals, is dog-welcoming and a great spot for blowing away the city cobwebs. Or head to the grounds of Bamburgh Castle, 6 miles along the coast, where your dog can enjoy a fancier walk than usual.

This is a fabulous place to stay. The location is great and really close to Beadnell and Seahouses. The cottage is really well equipped, cosy and in a quiet location. You can see the sea from the kitchen window which is a real treat. This is our second stay here, with our two kids and I'm sure we'll be back again. Thank you

Stayed over New Year in this lovely cottage. It had a real home from home feel to it and was very cosy. Beds were very comfortable and decor very tasteful. A lovely country kitchen was the perfect place for us to dine. A 2 minute drive takes you into nearby Beadnell and a further few minutes into Seahouses. Due to location next to quite a busy counRead moretry road, there was nowhere to directly walk to as pavement only extends around 50 metres or so either side of property. Would recommend to anyone. Nice cottage, convenient for visiting the area. Fairly comfortable and lots of useful equipment, it would be greatly improved by some updating. Cottage is adjacent to a busy road, the noise could be an issue for some.

A lovely cottage perfectly situated for the coast around Beadnell. The cottage was extremely well equipped with all the kitchen equipment you could ever need. Beds were comfy, plentiful hot water and little thoughtful touches like the welcome milk, wholemeal bread and delicious cake. Perfect stay!

There are lots of breakables, the shower is rainfall only and the temperature drops. The washing machine doesn't work. It's next to a very busy road with a small gate and open access from the front to the back. There is too much white making it difficult to keep clean with young children. The bedroom doors don't close either. Beautiful location. ExRead moretremely well kitted out with adequate utensils, dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid and hand-wash. We took 2 extra double toilet rolls. Nice for adults.Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We had a wonderful stay at Seaview Cottage. We had a lovely welcome pack on arrival including homemade cake! The cottage itself was immaculate and had everything we could possibly need. The location was perfect - outside of town but still close enough to everything. We have had a wonderful time and would love to stay again. Thank you.
