Our stay at Prospect Cottage was very good indeed. The cottage is modern, well equipped, lovely and light and airy with plenty of space - all of which made for a very comfortable holiday break. Locally there are plenty of options for food, and walks, and the location meant access to lots of places to visit was easy. The cottage was perfect for our needs and had everything we required for an enjoyable stay. While not in a main touristy area, we found several good walks within easy reach, including along the canal from Salterhebble to Sowerby Bridge. Shibden Hall and the Piece Hall in Halifax are also worth a visit, and Bronte country, with Haworth and the KeighRead moreley and Worth Valley Steam Railway, are within reasonable driving distance. For dining, the Sportsman Inn is very near by. Hide

Our second stay here and another great stay. The cottage is comfortable and quiet and well-positioned between Halifax and Huddersfield (and near the Calderdale Way for walkers). The only downside is very patchy wifi.

Clean and tidy and Dog friendly with fields behind the cottage for the dogs and a circular trail if walking on the footpath. Don't trust your satnav to get you anywhere as she might have you driving down very narrow lanes.
