Located at the heart of the glorious Mendip Hills, this beautifully updated property makes a fantastic holiday retreat for couples exploring a serene part of the glorious Somerset countryside. With ample space for up to two guests, the bright, spacious detached barn conversion offers delightful country walks and plenty of room for a pet dog to come along and enjoy a relaxing rural break. Set on a very small touring site on the owner’s sheep farm, this charming getaway provides wonderful countryside views and is ideally situated for eager walkers and their pets discovering the region’s stunning landscapes.

Stepping inside this fresh and airy single-level holiday retreat, you will find the light, cosy and spacious lounge with a TV, comfortable seating and French doors opening out onto the patio. The hallway leads through to the stylishly arranged kitchen/diner which has plenty of room so you can prepare and share all your favourite meals. Exploring this cheery cottage further, you will find a beautifully decorated double bedroom with a handy en-suite shower room. Outside, the enclosed patio area has plenty of garden furniture and makes a great spot for you to sit back, dine alfresco and take in the views with your canine companion by your side.

The historic city of Wells (6.5 miles) has an array of great restaurants and pubs and is home to a stunning – and dog-welcoming – cathedral dating back to the 12th century. The Mendip Hills offer miles of spellbinding walks for you to enjoy with your canine pal. Your four-pawed friend is also welcome to help you explore Cheddar Gorge (5 miles), Hinton Blewett (7 miles), Black Down (4.5 miles) and Chew Valley Lake (7 miles). Heading south, Glastonbury Tor and the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey both make excellent pet-welcoming walking destinations (both 12.5 miles).

Wonderful cottage very comfortable and in a lovely setting with great owners. Well placed to visit lots of interesting places. Very peaceful stay and would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage. Everything we needed was there. Good fenced in outdoor space Very well placed to get to Wells. Bath. Glastonbury. We really enjoyed it .

A lovely clean, spacious, bright and well equipped cottage. Convenient for all the major towns and attractions and great for walking. Good chip shop in Cheddar.

We were welcomed by the owner on arrival, who explained everything we need to know about the property. The kitchen was spacious and well equiped. There were good views from the lounge and we had a comfy bed in the bedroom.

Milestone Barn is a lovely spaciouse cottage in a really lovely location close to Priddy. The views are outstanding. The cottage is beautifully maintained and very clean. All the normal amenities are provided and in exellent condition. The caharming owner has welcomed us on the two occasions we have visited and basic provisions have been supplied oRead moren arrival.
