This charming, detached cottage in the centre of the market town of Kirkbymoorside is ideal for couples, families, or friends and one top dog looking for a relaxing holiday near the North York Moors National Park. Kirkbymoorside offers easy access to the Wednesday market and fine pubs and restaurants to enjoy traditional Yorkshire fare. Let your pup sniff out adventure on a circular route from the village through the countryside and woodlands, visiting Manor Vale Woodland Nature Reserve and the village of Gillamoor.

Head up the garden path to enter this welcoming cottage, with its elegant furnishings and homely details, making for a memorable stay. The bright and spacious contemporary kitchen is generously equipped, making cooking a breeze. Discover the cosy snug, perfect for reading a book or planning your adventures, or make yourself comfortable in the stylish sitting room, where you can sit back on the sofas and watch a movie on the Smart TV while your canine companion sleeps at your feet. Upstairs you'll find a bathroom, a king-size bedroom, and a twin bedroom. Step outside to the pretty, enclosed lawned garden where your canine companion and the children can run off some energy. You can enjoy breakfast at the bistro table or perhaps an evening BBQ.

The market town of Helmsley (6 miles) is a must. Your pup can explore the castle and then lead you on the three-mile trail to the beautiful Rievaulx Terrace. For something a little different, head to Pickering (7 miles), home of the North York Moors Railway, and take four paws across the moors to the seaside delights of Whitby. Step back in time with a visit to Castle Howard (12 miles), where four-legged friends are welcome and will remind you to keep them on a lead.

This is a beautifully decorated, cosy cottage in a great location for both Kirkbymoorside and for exploring the local area. We have an electric car but the local car park has 4 charging points so it was really easy to charge whenever we needed to.

The cottage was well decorated, lovely and clean and very comfortable. Hairdryers were provided in both bedrooms. A nice welcome pack was provided with milk, bread, Coffee and sugar. The only issue I had was the parking. It's a raised area with a ramp up to it. I have a small hatchback and the front valance hit the ramp and got damaged so I don't tRead morehink it's very suitable for low cars. I had to park on the main road, half on path which got me a few dirty looks but I had no other option. Hide

A beautifully decorated cottage, so comfortable in an ideal location. Kirkbymoorside is a small friendly town with choice of pubs and shops, and pleasant countryside surroundings for dog walking. Beautiful, tastefully decorated cottage. Everything you could need. Extremely comfortable beds, the best Ive ever slept in. Lovely spacious garden, very secure for dogs. Weather mostly dry so we could use the patio furniture which is always a bonus. The road and the parking space were no problem at all. Thank you so much for a lovely stay

We loved this cottage! It's really nice, one of the nicest we've ever stayed in. It's a great location, Kirkbymoorside is really nice, would recommend the pizza place, Coop and Chinese. The two lounges were perfect, we had one for kids and one for adults. Loads of room in the bedroom, shower and bath were decent, kitchen well equipped. This cottage is just excellent. Very very clean, very warm, very cosy and very well equipped. A real home to relax after a busy day in the really lovely surroundings. Just one negative aspect: the stairs from the street to the house are quite steep and there is no sidewalk. The traffic spoiled the holiday. Wont of course bother everyone and it seems double glazing installed. It might be fair to mention in description that property is located on a very busy tourist route. Otherwise splendid

Our stay at the property was wonderful. The cleanliness was impeccable seeing as it is a dog friendly cottage. The furnishings are of a high standard and very well designed. Wow what a place. Beautifully decorated, brilliantly located, well equipped and everything you need was provided. A beautiful cottage where you felt relaxed the moment you walked through the door.
