The cottage was very well equipped and in excellent condition. Very clean, a welcome basket was provided which was a lovely touch. Yes the track leading to the cottage was very steep however the views made up for it. Absolutely stunning.

Amazing cottage with stunning views over Swaledale. A very well equipped holiday home where the owners have though through everything for a relaxed holiday stay. We were three couples plus a baby and dog and all needs were catered for in this property.

Our experience was that Laykin proved to be everything we had been led to expect it to be - roomy, extremely well equipped, super comfortable bed with a number of unexpected touches e.g. use of binoculars and of walking maps in their own cases. The welcome offering was very much appreciated, especially the Yorkshire Crisps which didn't last long! TRead morehe approach road is both the vice and the virtue of this property; vice in the sense that Laykin is some distance from the road and any local facilities, but virtue in that its splendid isolation ensures peace and quiet and some of the most spectacular views over Swaledale that are available. We very much enjoyed our stay. Hide

Our only reservation about recommending Low Row is that another guest will have booked their holiday when we want to be there. Simply magical location.

Extremely comfy cottage, warm and clean with good beds, linen and towels. Cottage is perched on a slope that offers fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. Happy to just sit and watch the rolling skies. We were lucky to have a few clear nights too, which along with a full moon, allowed us to gaze up at the stars. Great walks from the front Read moredoor, or lots of places to explore in a car. It is a steep track up to the cottage so it is sensible to heed the very clear instructions of the owner. Hide

The cottage was lovely and the owners very obliging as we did have a bit of an issue on arrival as previous guests hadn't reported a problem. But this was dealt with as efficiently as possible, getting a plumber on Easter Sunday was impressive!
