Located close to a nature reserve in the village of Meare, sits this spacious five-bedroom property. It’s the perfect home for a family reunion or group of friends plus two waggy-tailed companions, seeking countryside walks and easy access to Glastonbury.

Inside the décor is light and welcoming with huge windows, pleasant furnishings, and creamy tones creating a homely atmosphere. The open-plan kitchen is a fantastic space and Fido can keep you company as you create delicious meals and then serve them at the dining table seating ten people. There’s a wood burner in this room to keep things cosy but when the sun is shining open the patio doors and let Fido explore the garden. After a hearty meal, you’ll want to step through to the lounge, sink into the huge sofa and relax with a film on the Smart TV. When bedtime beckons choose between two double bedrooms on the ground floor or three double rooms on the first floor. All the bedrooms are well furnished with the master suite boasting a delightful balcony and countryside views. In the morning your pups can stretch their legs on the extensive lawn while you sit at the patio table and listen to the birdsong, or enjoy a soak in the hot tub.

Your hounds will love the countryside walks from the doorstep but for a change of terrain head to Shapwick Heath Nature Reserve (0.5 miles). Although your pup is not permitted in the main part of the reserve they can sniff out new scents in the surrounding marshland. For quirky shops, dog-friendly restaurants, and abbey ruins the town of Glastonbury is 3 miles away, or for a walk on the beach head to Burnham-on-Sea (15 miles).

A comfortable, modern base for exploring North and Mid Somerset. Adequately housed three adults, three children and a dog. The small garden is fully enclosed. Received claim of damage to carpets and worktops - a surprising first for us. I felt contradictory photos I took on arrival were dismissed.

Nice house in a lovely location. As a previous person has said it really needs some small tables in the living room to put drinks on. A great variety of things to do nearby. No pub in the village but a couple of really nice ones within walking distance. The Sheppey: cross-country walk, The Bird: walk down country lanes

Whilst we had some issues with cleanliness within the property, Jon the owner responded quickly & the kitchen area was cleaned again during our stay. The carpet caused a problem, so beware; photos advised on entry. A lovely property but for 4 stars & price, there were quite a few things lacking: welcome pack, somewhere to put drinks in the lounge, Read moreno hand towels, some bedding had no mattress and pillow protectors, the BBQ on last legs, as was garden furniture which lacked cushions & parasol. Lovely house in a quiet location with good access to tourist sites. Hot tub was great and it was cleaned every day. Lots of room for our party of 9. We had a super time.

A comfortable house, with the bonus of 2 downstairs bedrooms. The garden is fully enclosed, and very safe for our 2 Golden Retrievers, although if you are taking dogs, be aware the carpets are cream, and so extra care needed after muddy walks to ensure the dogs are clean and dry. Some minor additions, such as side tables in the lounge, and coathookRead mores in the hall would be useful. The hot tub was clean and well maintained, and the owner was helpful and easily contacted. We had a lovely week here. It's a nice, quiet house, which is comfortable, spacious and well laid out. The hot tub is a great addition. It's conveniently located for the coast as well as plenty of Somerset's key attractions. There is only parking for 2 to the rear of the property, but there is a space for a third car near the B & B, which was easy Read moreto access. Just a few minor points here and there meant we couldn't give it 5 stars, but these could be easily remedied by the owner. Hide

Great house for a family holiday, is dog-friendly, great hot tub, and is a good location to explore the local area with places like Glastonbury, Cheddar, and Wells nearby.
