  • Beautifully presented barn conversion with private garden and beautiful views of the countryside from the property's outside space
  • Tucked away and yet still close to the stunning North Cornwall beaches and coastal paths and just a short drive to Rock, Padstow and Polzeath
  • Perfect for families, cyclists and walkers who are keen to discover Cornwall’s glorious landscapes
Property code: OC-44397

This converted barn is set in beautiful Cornish countryside just 2 miles from the picturesque, quirky Port Isaac with its dog-friendly beach. The town is also an ideal starting place for cliff-top walks along the rugged, dramatic landscape of the South West Coast Path – your dog won’t be disappointed and neither will you.

The two-bedroom property is tucked away at the end of a track, and you step straight into the spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that leads out to the enclosed garden. The well-equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing a feast after a busy day, and also on the ground floor is the cosy twin bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs is the double bedroom with stunning views, and the garden is ideal for enjoying evenings around the BBQ after a day exploring the area with your canine companion.

The property, in a complex of cottages, is perfect for making the most of the area. The picturesque Port Isaac – the location for the Doc Martin TV series – is the starting point for a breathtaking 5.5-mile coastal walk to Porteath going past secluded coves, an abandoned village and squabbling seabirds – there’s a bus route back, too. Just 8 miles from Port Isaac is the broad sandy beach of Daymer Bay, bordered by dunes that welcome dogs all year round, and a mile from that beach is the unusual church of St Enodoc, the burial place of Sir John Betjeman. The legendary ruins and dramatic sea views of Tintagel are just 9.5 miles away, where there are walks going past abandoned slate mines and caves on the beach, said to be the home of Merlin the magician – everyone is sure to fall under the spell of the exciting sights, sounds and smells of the place.

Lovely cottage, well equipped and in beautiful surroundings. Within walking distance of Port Isaac-we walked over fields and it took about 45 minutes. Beautiful walks nearby. Rock to Padstow ferry was a lovely day out. We also cycled the Camel Trail from Padstow. The back garden overlooked fields.

What a gem! We had a perfect week in the lovely Corner Cottage. Very comfortable and welcoming with lots of added extras to make our stay even better (washing tablets, crabbing nets, body boards to name a few all came in handy!) Lovely cottages in a beautiful setting. Guests are made to feel very welcome. The properties are dog friendly with a lovely garden. They are surroundrd by farm land so, to give dogs a walk off the lead, you need to drive to a suitable spot. But the cliff and beach walks are fantastic.
