We recently stayed at this cottage and overall had a pleasant stay. The location was ideal for exploring the area and the property was bright, spacious and very dog friendly, with a secure enclosed outdoor space. However, we did feel the cottage is in need of updating. The dcor felt dated throughout and the kitchen and bathroom would benefit from Read morerefurbishment. We also felt the cleanliness could have been improved in places. That said, the cottage has great potential due to its size and location and, with some updating and attention to detail, could be a lovely place to stay. Hide

Larch Barn is the ideal getaway location - a lovely converted barn in a farm off the main road. Perfectly located for walks to the beach and a few minutes drive from Bridport, Charmouth and Lyme. We were a family of four looking for a break over Christmas and it was just perfect

Beautiful, quiet location and ample space for everyone. Close to places of interest. Beds in double room and one of the single rooms were uncomfortable. Plenty of information regarding places of interest provided together with games, books etc for this time of year with shorter days.

Loved Larch Barn, the location is fabulous, we could walk our dogs from there without needing the car. The enclosed garden was also really helpful with two dogs. It felt really homely and cosy inside, it was warm in March without needing any heating. Lovely views from the bedrooms upstairs, everything was clean and we appreciated all the welcome goRead moreodies, including a bottle of wine. We walked up to Golden Cap from the cottage, then to the Anchor, good food, friendly pub. Will book again! Hide

This is the third time we have stayed in this property due to its location and secure garden for our dog. The place is lovely and clean and has everything you need. It is a short walk across 2 fields or the main drive to the local pub and only 10-15 minute walk to the sea at seatown. Would highly recommend this place.

Larch Cottage is in a delightful location for walking and as a base for touring Dorset. I feel the cottage is not designed for 6 people. I would be very interested to know if the owners come and stay at the property so they can understand my previous concerns. Regarding recommendation, Yes if all the above was carried out.
