A spacious family home in Polruan, you and your waggy-tailed chum will be on cloud canine here. Sleeping up to six people and your lucky dog, you can all make the most of the cottage’s fantastic location in the heart of this thriving little village and immerse yourselves well and truly in the holiday spirit. From indulgent lie-ins to leisurely strolls along the coast path, and from catching up by the fire to meals in the dog-friendly pub, every moment is one to be seized and made to treasure.

Pull off shoes and clean up paws in the porch and come inside. A real social hub, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is bathed in lots of natural light and benefits from glorious views over the estuary. A great space to gather throughout the day, your pup will love making the rounds, enjoying head tickles and back scratches from all members of the family. For evenings and rainy days, the lounge area has plenty of comfortable seating and gadgetry, whilst on sunny days the property’s enclosed patio will be a real favourite. Wandering up to the first floor you will find each of the three bedrooms, two of which boast large bay windows framing the scenery outside.

Park in one of the nearby car parks (weekly tickets are £25) and lose yourself within the village’s pretty, narrow streets. Your dog will love saying hello to new friends along the way and hunting out the new scents – quite possibly ending up at one of the dog-friendly restaurants! If you are fan of days by the sea, around a 1.5 mile walk along the coast path will take you to dog-friendly Lantic Bay, looked after by the National Trust. Separated by the river, a trip on the ferry to Fowey is a must, too.

Lovely situation, well equipped cottage with high end white goods and kitchen electrical. Comfy beds with lots of storage. The village is hilly and cars have to be parked at top of a steep hill but not a problem if you don't mind the walk.

We keep coming back to Mayne Cottage because it has a great location, lovely ambience, is spacious, very well laid out for sociability and comfortably furnished. Stunning views of estuary from the 2 rear bedrooms (master bedroom & twin bedded room).

Everything was perfect. The view was fantastic, the peace and quiet was dreamy. The house's amenities were also very good. Especially with two almost grown-up teenagers, it was great to have three toilets and two showers. This meant there was never any stress.

A well located property. Has all that one needs to stay. Everthing clean and tidy and very well presented. Easy access to pubs, a couple of local shops, car parks and walks. A quick trip but ferry (passenger or car)to Fowey and you have more lovely shops to look around, various walks and beaches to visit. Lovely cafes to enjoy local pasties.

Good location overlooking Fowey and Fowey harbour. Limit view from the terrace. Hard work if you have limited mobility given the village is on a hill side. Good location for visits to good restaurants and stately homes.
