This delightful property is a fabulous base for larger families and groups of friends exploring the heart of Cornwall. Within easy reach of both the north and south coasts, this beautifully updated farmhouse offers easy access to the A30 and is situated along a rural farm lane. Offering stylish accommodation for up to eight guests, with ample room for two canine companions to come along on holiday, the property features an open fire, airy living spaces, four spacious bedrooms and a large, enclosed garden with far-reaching rural views.

Entering this handsome property, the spacious, light-filled lounge offers a lovely space to relax in, with a Smart TV, plenty of seating, pretty garden views and an open fire. Double doors lead through to a formal dining room, making a perfect spot to gather for a special family meal. A handy breakfast table can be found in the stylishly designed kitchen, and there’s a cosy snug providing a useful space for catching up with a book. The ground floor also features a family bathroom and two super-king-size beds. Two further bedrooms are upstairs: a super-king-size room and a king-size, along with a refreshing shower room. French doors open from the kitchen and snug onto a charming patio terrace with a BBQ and outdoor furniture. Steps lead down to the enclosed garden which has plenty of space for dogs to roam.

The vibrant market town of Bodmin is just a mile away and has plenty of pet-welcoming places to eat and drink. There are plenty of dog-friendly local attractions including Bodmin Keep, Restormel Castle and the estate surrounding Lanhydrock, all within 9 miles. Bodmin Moor is just 4 miles to the east, and both north and south coasts are within 13 miles, with some gorgeous beaches and quaint resorts to explore.

The house is fabulous. Very spacious, extremely well equipped kitchen, all high standard, very comfy beds, great garden (dogs loved it) , central to all places we wanted to visit . Theres nothing any of us could complain about. Loved it. Hope to go again soon.

Perfect break for our four generation family. This place is spotlessly clean and really well equipped. The hosts provide such a welcome with tea, milk and biscuits on arrival and towels for the dog. We have been four years in a tie and are already booked for 2027.

Amazing cottage hidden down a lane. Extremely well equipped with everything needed and more. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend the cottage and wouldnt think twice about booking it again

We have stayed at Gwel Teg on numerous occasions, this visit didnt disappoint, long weekend on this occasion, very lucky with the weather. Very comfortable property owner very welcoming. Enclosed garden for the dogs, all very safe and relaxing, perfect position to explore further.

Would definitely recommend this cottage. So spacious and had absolutely everything you would need, very well equipped and comfy. The owners were very responsive when we needed them and were so polite and helpful. Will return here for sure.

Great location for exploring North and South cost of Cornwall. Spotlessly clean, photos don't do the inside justice. Very well appointed. Furnishings and appliances very good. We stayed as a party of 8 on a cycling and swimming holiday and splitting the doubles into twin beds was not a problem, and the owner was really helpful.

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped home. Where we struggled was location of the house being so close to A30, only separated by fence / hedging & we were affected by traffic noise day and night, leaving us unable to sleep with windows open. The smell of the farm was constantly overpowering all week to the level we couldnt sit outside and enjoy Read moregarden, windows had to be closed due to the stench permeating the house. Its a very nice comfortable place, In a good location. We stayed there for 4 nights, like in our own home. Farm is closed by so sightly smelly in some occasions, but we need to accept it as this is a farm house. Any way we enjoyed a lot. Thanks.

A very well equipped and comfortable house which could easily cope with eight people and garden excellent for dogs. Ideally situated for walking the Saints way, which was our goal. Noise from road only troublesome at night with windows open. Local facilities good.

Spent 2 weeks at this cottage, great central location which made it easy to get to most areas of Cornwall. Owners were very discreet but available if needed. The accommodation was like being at home. Beds were comfortable, Lounge and kitchen well appointed. Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay, we had our family of 4 plus grandparents so the downstairs bedrooms were great and lots of space to spread out. The good sized dining room was a favourite with all and we had lovely family meals and board games there. Owners were very responsive and helpful and we would absolutely stay again.

Absolutely stunning location . The property is really spacious we stayed as a family of six adults and it didnt feel cramped at all The cottage has everything you need for a holiday including hairdryers which was an added bonus . Location is perfect we chose it as we wanted to revisit Cornwall and everywhere we visited took no longer than half an hRead moreour to travel to . Fabulous spacious property - close by A30 and A38 so easy access to whole region. Really enjoyed our 2 week break. Plenty to do locally as well as a little further away. If you like walking and have a dog we can recommend Cardinham Woods - several walks which are very peaceful. Bodmin Moor is beautiful but be careful if dog is off lead - there are Read morehorses and Highland cattle wandering - great to see. Lanhydrock is great place inside and out. But the best place is definitely Pinetum Gardens. Hide
