Property code: OC-89030

Nestled amid stunning countryside just 2 miles from Launceston, this Cornish cottage makes a wonderful rural retreat for up to six people and their two happy hounds. The property sleeps four in the main cottage and two in the separate annexe, making it ideal for those who love travelling together but appreciate their own space too. There’s a gorgeous garden where pups can play safely, and abundant opportunities for countryside walkies from your front door.

Both cottages are laid out over a single storey, although the main building features a few steps between some rooms. Inside they’re bursting with traditional cottage charm, with beamed ceilings, whitewashed stone walls, flagstone floors, and lovely fireplaces. Rustle up family favourites in the kitchen under the watchful eye of your canine companions, then gather round the dining table to dine together. After long walks, put your feet up in the comfortable lounge, your dutiful dogs curled up in front of the wood burner dreaming of chasing rabbits. With a king-size and twin room in the main cottage and a double in the annexe, everybody has ample space to rest and recharge before the following day’s adventures. Make the most of warm days with a BBQ in the beautiful garden, and exercise pups in the shared quarter-acre paddock next door.

Visit the former Cornish county town of Launceston (2 miles) to explore the 13th-century castle (dogs welcome on leads), and dine at one of the dog-friendly pubs. Or head to the coast to discover dog-friendly Tintagel Castle (19.5 miles), let the pups run free on Trebarwith Strand beach (20 miles), and pick up the South West Coast Path for scenic walkies guaranteed to delight the entire pack!

  • 3 bedrooms - 1 king-size, 1 twin (beds can be put together to make a double), 1 double in the annexe
  • 2 bathrooms - 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC and 1 en-suite shower room with WC in the annexe

Lovely peaceful cottage. Perfect for us and our 2 dogs. Secure garden as described. The piggery was a great addition for family to enjoy. Great location for peace and quiet but close enough to main routes to explore the rest of Cornwall. A great stay

Amazing place to stay for peace and seclusion whilst still being close to shops and areas of interest! The cottage and annex were both extremely clean and comfortable, and the owners have thought of many details to make your stay even better (such as coal waiting in the BBQ, and kindling and logs provided for the fire). What a fantastic cottage! Mum is originally from Launceston so we booked a week here to take a trip down memory lane. Fantastic hidden little gem of a cottage with annex. The garden was as described, big enough for two dogs and secure enough for a little one and a big one with access to more if needed. This is a lovely place with fantastic hosts. The two separate buildings are ideal. Lovely peaceful garden with lots of wildlife arouund, all the facilities you could ask for, and in a location that's remote enough to switch off whilst being close enough to the main routes for getting around. Loved it.

Absolutely perfect in every way quite remote but only a short drive to shops loved every minute we spent there. Would not change anything at all, for us the holiday was perfect. The cottage was spotless, the garden was well kept with the grass nice n short. There was nothing to fault whatsoever and will definitely return again

We had a lovely week at apple cottage. It is well set up for three couple to stay very comfortably. The kitchen has everything you need. Both bathrooms spacious. The whole place was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed some beautifully scenic walks locally and visited north and south Cornwall easily from there.
